I am looking for any information on any decendant of John colter of the Lewis
and Clark Exposition. I am a decendant of Hiram Colters son Joseph Colter
and Emily Adams. Joseph Colter b. abt 1840 d. abt 1890. Looking for closer
dates if posible and place of their burials. Also Joseph Colter married
Lucinda Chumley in 1872 after Emily died. Any help would be greatly
appreciated

I am searching for information on Mary E. Coulter who was married to Marcus
LaFayette Hamiter/Hemeter(sp). Their son Marvin Benjamin Hemeter was born
in Collins County Mississippi.
Mary Coulter passed away and Marcus married Anna Jane Leggett

I am trying to complete the 200th anniversary edition of the
Descendants of Francis and Nancy (Glendenning) Coulter of Bovina,
Delaware County, NY. I need help in tracing several of our lost sheep.
Any information on families and descendants would be greatly appreciated.
1. William Coulter, b. 19 Jun 1817, Bovina, NY. Left Delaware County,
NY, May 1848 with wife. Known to have lived and died
June, have you seen the book "Courageous Colter and Companions" by Lillian
Ruth Colter-Frick [Feb. 11, 1926 - Nov. 9, 1999]? There are a few Coulter
researchers who have a different view of John Colter's connections, but this
might be a start. The Coulter cousins with whom I am working on our Coulter
connections believe that John Colter/Coulter does in fact descend from
Eleanor Coutler of Sussex Co., DE through one of her sons that settled there
in 1719.
