2. Any decendant of John Colter, Lewis and Clark Exposition [1]
I am looking for any information on any decendant of John colter of the Lewis and Clark Exposition. I am a decendant of Hiram Colters son Joseph Colter and Emily Adams. Joseph Colter b. abt 1840 d. abt 1890. Looking for closer dates if posible and place of their burials. Also Joseph Colter married Lucinda Chumley in 1872 after Emily died. June, have you seen the book "Courageous Colter and Companions" by Lillian Ruth Colter-Frick [Feb. 11, 1926 - Nov. 9, 1999]? There are a few Coulter researchers who have a different view of John Colter's connections, but this might be a start.
