shirley hornback e-mailed me your inquiry. However, I cannot help you on
a Coulter line that late in PA. Marie Coulter, if his mother, born 1807,
now that is always a possible. My line is John Colter/Coulter of Lewis
& Clark Expedition. However, he was up-river after the Expedition came
back in 1807, went back up the Missouri River, came home a few
My only Coulter ancestor is Martha Brown COULTER, b 1793 Londonderry,
Ireland, m Bud Mathis MOORE, 29 Nov 1826, d 11 Dec 1887. Bud was born in
Greenville Co., SC and their son William Spencer MOORE was b & d in
Simpsonville, SC. I have much information on descendants (my wife is a
Moore). Looking for other relations to Martha.

I am looking for info about Andrew Coulter who married Nancey Kenady. Andrew
died in 1808 in Rutherford NC. I am looking for his parents and any siblings.I'd

Got this on another list thought you might be interested.
List: This is an interesting site that talks about fraudulent lineages that
have been documented and published. It lists several books written by GUSTAVE
ANJOU that are fradulent. It also states that Mr. Anjou's works have shown
up in libraries, repositories, AND the Family History Library. It is worth
checking out to see if you have any of the families listed in your tree.

did, I would send it all to you. I don't even know who Albert's (Charles-?)
father is yet.
I'm looking for the parents of James, Alice and Annie Coulter; there may
be two other siblings, William and Margaret.
James Coulter, born abt. 1846 in Ireland, was a Deputy Superintendent of
Police, Boston, retired 1908. He was married to Susan Lazonby (sp?). He
died in 1921 in Sherbrooke, Que, Canada and was buried in Brighton,
Massachusetts. I have a little information on his descendants, for those
interested.
Alice was born abt. 1824 in Ireland, and married Thomas Somers in 1855;
they had 6 childre
This is a good reminder to all of us to check primary and secondary
sources for ourselves to see if we draw the same conclusions that
another person did on anything that we gain from someone trying to
help us along. It might turn out to be absolutely correct, but...

These are my wife's lines. The other surname lists included here are
spouses of one of these lines.
We have ended up with this family's Bible. It is very large and
beautifully illustrated with several pages of marriages, births, deaths,
etc recorded in the flowing script of the times. Unfortunately it is
also beginning to fall apart. For Christmas I scanned all the front
pages of this Bible and put them on a CD. I also made printed copies for
