Sorry but I don't have any information on the Coulters that stayed in Ireland. I can place my Coulter line in Pennsylvania in 1801 because that's when Mary Coulter was born.

I am researching the family of John Coulter and Jane Henderson. They immigrated from Fermanagh, Ireland (although some say John was born Scotland) in 1841 to Montreal with their daughter Ann (m. Nathaniel Stuart/Stewart). There they had Mary(m. Robert Morrison), George (m.Maria?), William(d. 1870). Then they went to Peel
Does anyone have any information on a Matilda Coulter who was a barmaid in
Aldershot, HANTS. I have no idea of age or birth place, but she gave birth
to an illegitimate son there in 1923. There is another Coulter family in the
same area, that originated in Newcastle, but having scoured the GRO Indexes,
I have been unable to find her birth or a later marriage for her and have
been unable to link her with this other family.
I have some fascinating Army records for the other family, so if you are
related, it
have the following
Gus J. Coulter born Feb. 3, 1892 in Eversonville, Linn County, MO. Mother was Nannie Mace Smith. She most likely was married to his father prior to her marriage to Smith. I'm trying to figure this part out.
Gus married two times. First to Fae and had three children, Ruth E., James B., and Alice M. They were living in Jackson Township, LInn County, MO in 1930 Census.
He died Jan. 9, 1967 in Hutchinson KS. He was survived by his second wife, Marjory Berkshire whom he married July 10, 19
I have a Samuel Coulter among my ancestors, too:
Name: Samuel Evans Coulter
Birth: 1838
Death: 28 Apr 1864 Louisiana
Burial: 28 Apr 1864 National Cemetery, Alexandria, LA
Occupation: Minister, Capt. Co. E 96th Reg. Ohio Volunteer Infantry
Religion: United Brethren Church, Ottowa, OH
Marriage: 22 Apr 1861 Ottowa, Putnam Co, OH
Spouse: Rebecca Mary Andrews
Birth: abt 1840
Still looking for information on the birth (1743) location and parents of
Archibald Coulter. Archibald was a resident of the Gettysburg, PA area
owning land first in the Whitehall, PA area and later on the eastern edge of
Gettysburg (Rock Creek). He died in 1806 and is buried in the "Pines Burial
Ground" part of St Pauls Lutheran Church near Hunterstown, PA. His spouse
was Susannah Kerr, daughter of Josiah Kerr and Mary Dinwiddie. Josiah Kerr
was born in Chester Co(?), lived for a period of time in Midd

Do you have any idea of the names of John's parents?
I know there was a big family of Coulters in County Fermanagh and they
spread off to all parts of the world. Two sons James b.1838 and Archibald b.
1841 County Tyrone came to NZ.
James via Queensland Australia.
Their parents were Joseph Coulter who married Mary Weir, no other knowledge
of other family members.
Maybe there is a thread?
I am descended from Archibald Coulter.
Regards Jill

I don't have any Coulters in the counties you mentioned; however, I do in
Huntington and Knox Counties. At this time I do not know if there is any
connection; I never heard of any of your allied families. I am not
presently researching any of these families, so please forgive this
intrusion. Where do these Washington, Orange and Lawrence County Coulters
come from? Mine came to Huntington County from Delaware in 1719 via Harford
County, MD; Berkeley/Frederick County, WV/VA; and Butler and Greene
Counties
ANY Coulter connections may prove a lead. I am searching "Coulter" from
