This reads like the mystery novels I've been reading lately - wonder
if Janet Evanovich would be interested in this idea...
Seriously, though, folks, this site is for genealogy research, not
tracking down deadbeats. Or is this a joke? Sure made me laugh.
On the other hand, if it's serious, you have both my sympathy for the
pain and my congratulations for what sounds like a lucky escape,
Cindy.

Thougt I would try again to find any info on my ggranfather. George and
Archibald were brothers, born in Fayette Co, PA according to discharge
papers from Mexican War. Think their father was Richard but no proof, just
that George named his first son Richard. George married Elizabeth Adams in
1949, had 2 sons, Richard and George. George #1 died 1853 so brother
Archibald married Eliza in 1854 and they had 2 daughters, Archibell (Belle)
and Alice Myra. My line goes thru Belle who married Joseph Lane from Tn.
Does anyone have information on a Mary E. Coulter who lived in Collins
County Mississippi and was married to Marcus Hemeter around 1896. She died
at an early age and her husband remarried Anna Saltenstall.
She was the mother of my grandfather Benjamin Marvin Hemeter.
I really would like to make a connection with someone who may be related to
that Coulter family. That is all the information I have.

I have just learned that my Mary Ann Coulter was 1/2 Cherokee. Her mother,
Jane, was full blood Cherokee. Are there any Coulter's out there that were
in TN in about 1839 when Mary Ann was born who married a Cherokee Indian by
the name of Jane. I have also learned that Mary Ann died in OK in 1888. She
went to be with her mother sometime after 1883.
