Mary Maude Coulter, b. 1870 in Nihil, Westmoreland County, Pa. She married Robert Dinsmore Wolff 27 Feb 1888 in Westmoreland Co., PA. Their children were: David Alpheus Wolff b. May 1888, Laura Lillian Wolff b.1891, Anna Margaret Wolff b.1895.
I know nothing about who her parents are, except the Census records say they were both born in PA. Any help or direction would be gratefully accepted. A big thank you in advance.

After moving to ILL from TN abt.1861 my line of Colters were spelled Corter
or Courter
and ocassionally Coter. I have read that in some areas of Scotland the
Coulter name
is pronounced with the L silent making it sound Couter. Its all very
interesting.
Frank Corter
I descend from Robert Coulter of Scotland to South Carolina through his son
Alexander. Who after the state lines stopped moving found himself in North
Carolina in Tyson Co. NC. Tyson no longer is a county in NC but was it near
the SC state line and one time was a part of Chester Co. SC.
I found Robert Coulter family back in Scotland with siblings and parents.
Some of Robert siblings came to America, like Hugh Coulter to Delaware area.

Have a great interest in Coulter information from Northern Ireland. Trying
to find origins of Archibald Coulter who had settled in the Gettysburg, PA
area as early as 1785. His eldest son was named John which says that
Archibalds father may have named John. The family was connected with the
Reformed Presbyterian Church (Covenenters). Some unconfirmed history says
that his father (name unk.) was of Scotch-Irish descent.
Any help greatly appreciated.
