First off, let me say I don't have these addresses myself, but here is an
excellent homepage for people who want to request vital records
(birth/death/marriage/divorce) but don't know the address. Also, if you
know the town, but not the county, there is a link for that, just enter the
name of the town and state it's in and it will tell you the county (I tried
it, it REALLY works!). Hopes this helps out.

Hello lists. I have a Samuel Coventry in Illinois in the 1800s and I'm
wondering if anyone would help me by doing a census lookup. I'd do it
myself, but with no transportation to the local FHC and not being able to
get the census info through Inter Library Loan prevents me from doing so. I
need info from the 1880 census of probably Richland Co., IL. Not sure of
the exact county, but pretty sure it's Richland. can anyone do this lookup?
Thank you.

I just want to say first off, I don't normally send out these warnings, but
this is a scam that HAS been verified by AT&T and this does happen. It
could cost you a lot of money if this happens to you so do yourself a favor
and read this so you'll know ahead of time. Thanks -Erin

Hello everyone. First off, let me start by thanking those that have sent
their lines to the list, I appreciate it. I wrote some email to the
listowner list about how I could get my lists to be more active, for them to
give me some ideas on what can be done. I got one reply back that sounded
like a good idea and I would like to give it a try. Basically what it will
amount to is every few days, I will send a common name from each list, or
place, that appears in more than one message. Then, your job is to

Reminders:
After last week, I have found people do not know where to send mail and such
so here are reminders
1. do NOT send messages to me that are meant for the list, send them to

example that people will know that "George Benson" is actually "George

oops! Forgot to enter my William last week. Here it is.
William Henry Coventry b. 1916 in Philadelphia, PA. Son of Ort LeRoy Coventry
and Kathryn McKinnon. He is rumored to have married Virginia Hunt somewhere
in Texas while in the army. Supposedly died in or before WWII.
Yesterday I sent a short list and failed to put Coventry as the last names. I
thought since I was sending it to the Coventry list it would be understood. I
guess it wasn't. Sorry.
Names should have been:
Chauncey Arres Coventry and Ort Lerroy Coventry (b 10 Dec 1885 d. March 1973)
brothers born in Patterson,NJ and later moved to Philadelphia,PA.
Chauncey married Hattie Huster. They had 2 sons George and Carl.
