Hello everyone. Normally I do not like advertising about scams and hoaxes on the list (such as those about viruses) since most are actually not true. This however, I know personally to be true and this company tends to get a lot of newbies in the genealogy world to buy their books at high prices with the buyer expecting a heck of a lot more than they get. The company is called Halbert's and operates out of Bath, OH. They advertise their books by sending you an announcement personally through regular mail

Hello everyone, this is Erin, the listowner and I wanted to tell you that Sunday night the mouse of my computer quit working. At the time i figured i could just go pick up a new one on monday...not so, My computer, from 1993, is becoming so obselete that only one mouse is compatible...and it is going to cost me $100 to get it special ordered with rush delivery.
