Hi,
Many years ago I received a very confusing page from a"home genealogy". Just
enough information in it has proven to be true that I am still pursuing it.
In my search of the DAVIS line this paper has led me to the surname of
COVINGTON.
It was stated in this paper that Gen. EVAN SHELBY (1720/Wales-1794/TN) m. a
LETITIA COVINGTON.
I have been told by researchers that Gen. EVAN SHELBY was m. to LETITIA COX.
In the genealogy to which I refer (above) LETITIA COVINGTON? COX (b. abt.
1725/NJ-1777/VA) w

Hi Jodie,
Coventry is an English name originally seen as de Coventree or de Coventrie.
At least one branch moved to Scotland prior to or about 1600, but I have

The other was born about 1887 and was living, unmarried, in Clinton co., NY
1920
