1. Re: [COYUMA] Soderlun/ Bruno Family [1]
Vickie J. I took a quick look at the 1910 US Census for Colorado. In Logan County - Iliff Precinct 3 - Households 175-177 I found a Sonderlun family that seemed match most of what you provided. Magnus P - age 52 - m 25 years - born Sweden - Arrived US 1879 Naturalized, Farmer Minnie T - age 44, wife, 9 children/8 surviving, born Iowa, Father born Holland, Mother born Ireland Children in household all born Nebraska except the youngest who was born in Kansas. My grandfather Frank Roy Soderlun was born in Peetz, Co. I'm trying to get info on his mother and Dad. Richard Magnus Meyers Soderlun d. 1918 her name was Mellie Catherine Bruno. I was always told they were from Sweden where there a lot of Swedes in this area in early 1900's. Vickie J vglover776@sbcglobal.net Vickie J

Vickie Correction to my earlier note. It was Nellie C not Nellie A listed as Richard Soderlun's wife of two months. Since their 1910 marriage wasn't listed on the DPL CD "Colorado Marriages", I gather they were married outside Colorado? It would appear from the census that what is very probably your great great grandfather Magnus P Soderlun was the one who arrived from Sweden in 1879. Richard M.M. Soderlun told the enumerator he was born in Nebraska, his father in Sweden and his mother in Iowa. M

Vickie I'm a bit confused. You stated earlier that Millie was Mellie Catherine Bruno? In any case, Richard D. Meyer and his wife, Wilhelmina, are listed in Saunders Co, Nebraska in 1910 and don't show up in Logan Co, Colorado until the 1920 census. Lee, In that cencus do you see a Meyer family. That was Mellie's family. It appears she had a brother named Richard D Meyer her fathers name was Johanna T Meyer due to his Assignment of mortgage. It appears my grandfather went to a one room school house that went to the 8th grade and per family notes was mostly relatives.
