Well folks,
Reporting on all things Crawford!
Listers may be interested to know that in Australia and New Zealand on
this day 25 April, the nations stop to remember the bravery of the
Australian and New Zealand soldiers in World War I at Galliopli, Turkey.
There the ANZAC Legend was born.
From this, other campaignes where Australians and New Zealanders fought
are also remembered - World War II, Korea, Malaya, Borneo, Vietnam, and
the Peace Keeping Forces.

Hi Folks,
Many of you may be receiving a message from the Crawford webBase,
saying that your records have been edited. This no call for alarm, I
am the culprit. I am going thru the webBase and updating any records
that have a reference to the country of Ireland. This would include
Birth, Death or any other reference. Hopefully with this new updated
info, others will be able to connect to your family lines alittle
easier.
If you go to the Crawford webBase and click on the link titled "Map"

I have also found incorrect listing on FHL Salt Lake City, Ut. My decendent
is James Huey Crawford and was submitted by a Watford. There is a group of
Watford's in my family and they just got it wrong. Be careful with the FHL
information as it is not verified, just submitted. DOC

Dear Lisa,
The date of the enumeration and the census day are not one and the
same.
The census takers were instructed to provided information as to the
household occupants, ages, etc as per the census day (NOT the enumeration
day).
In other words the day the census taker went to the house, which he

Hello
I don't know a lot about the Crawford side of the family and I have very
little to go on. I recall going to my grandmother Crawford's house when she
was sick (cancer of the uterus?) I recall they say that she was very young.
It was in Missouri, although I don't know where. I recall the house was in
the country and there were a lot of coon dogs that my grandfather used for
hunting. The year would be about 1958 or 1959. I can recall neither of my
grandparent's names.
Thank you in advance.

I am looking for any information on a Fanny(Fannie) Lillian Crawford who married a John Daniel Caldwell. I believe she was born in Michigan in the mid 1800's and at one time lived in Coldwater, Michigan.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry if you saw this at the weekend - I didn't see the copy return so
worried that it might not have got out there...
I expect this to throw up some interest among the listers.
I was visiting my Mother in Northern Ireland last week. She is moving house,
and is getting rid of lots of old "stuff". Among a collection of old
photographs, I found the following transcript. The explanation of the
transcript is at the bottom, but apart from one editorial note, I've left it
untouched - i.e. mentions of "at presen
Shirl, It is certainly true that new technology has taken over, but it is
not correct that this type of printing is not done today. You just have to
know where to go. Any artist/printer should be able to take impressions
from it. There are small art presses who do this. Please considering not
selling it until all efforts to have it printed have been exhausted.
I don't know where you live, but you might take a look at this web page
which gives a number of letterpress printing groups.

Hello Everyone,
I've just joined the list since learning that one of my NETZ
cousins married William Newton CROFFORD. I have an undated
newspaper clipping (1930-35???) giving the following
information about him.
The marriage took place in Washington, DC.
William was a lieutenant in the USN, based in Norfolk, VA
and the couple planned to live in Norfolk after the
marriage.
His bride's maiden name was Helen Elizabeth NETZ, born
1909-10 in California.
I see that there is a possible William CROFFORD on the
You would be able to read most of the names ( there are hundreds) using a magnifying glass on some. I think this would frame nicely also. Anyway, with my expense for this and the copies....looks like the price will range between $195 -$225 per print, according to how many want copies. The size is 24 x 30. The price would include tubes and mailing expense.
My book will arrive tomorrow and am anxious to see it. Appraisal may have to be postponed for a little while...everything is costly, and I did not k
Hi!
I'm new to the list and am starting to research my husband's g grandmother, Ludora Elizabeth Crawford. According to Ludora's death certificate, she was born 1 Sept 1841, in Crawford Co., MO. She died 14 Dec 1926, Ste. Genevieve Co., MO. She is the daughter of Larkin Crawford and Eliza Edwards, their birth places are unknown, but according to the 1880, 1900, 1910 & 1920 Censuses for Ste. Genevieve Co., MO, her parents birth place is listed as Tennessee.
On 11 Feb 1858, Ludora married Andrew Silvey, i
Hello Everyone:
I know you are anxious for an update and I will try to tell you what I have accomplished this week.
I know that some of you think there is an easy solution to this situation, but, believe me there isn't!!
I have been down every path imaginable and was finally advised to take the block to a commercial printing company that would photo this and go from there. I did this, and of course you must know this was not your regular type of photography. Anyway, I was pleased with the outcome. They

hello, I have put up a few pictures on my page and would like to know if some others would like to send in thier pictures. If so, could you send the pictures in jpg format and have them edited to the appropriate size. This means the picture should be right side up and the size you see on the picture page. I can only build this for a few more days before I have to go back to work.
Thank you,
Steve

A Quick note on Ireland entries. Notice the Counties of Donegal,
Monaghan, and Cavan, while these counties are not include in the UK
of Northern Ireland they are included in the Province of Ulster, so
they will get the choice of Ulster/Northern Ireland. I do not know
the time frame of this map so I cannot be sure of the correctness of
this designation. Any help here greatly appreciated,
Mark
