Rockingham County, Virginia. It might be of interest to others studying this
area.
The following is an excerpt from the book The Heartland by Nancy B. Hess,
R.R. Donnelley and Sons Co., Willard, Ohio, 1976 (pp. 357-358). This is a
delightful book detailing many areas of Rockingham County, Virginia history.

Good morning,
I am looking for any information or clues concerning ancestors or descendants
of
William CRAWFORD and Margaret KIRKPATRICK of Botetourt Co., Virginia , circa
late 1700s. I have found a son Thomas born about 1787. Does anyone have
marriage or children for him?
Thanks.

My Crawford's apparently came from Ireland in the 1840's. We know that
some of their children were born in Ireland as were both of them.
CRAWFORD, James
PIERC(I)E, Isabel
My g'grandmother, Susan was born in Canaan, NY and it is thought that
Isabel's parents may have been living there and she returned to her
parent's home to have Susan. There is a large contingent of Crawford's
from this union still living in Lee, MA, but we have not had any contact
with them for several years.

Hi Crawfords,
I'm still looking to buy a copy of the following book:
The Brothers Crawford
By: Scholl, Allen W.
Publisher: Heritage Books, Inc.
I would appreciate hearing any suggestions for procurement of this book.
Thank you all Cheers, Dan Crawford,
Are there any descendents of William J. Crawford, white male born in Alabama
around 1879???. He is listed in the 1880 Cleburne Co.Al, Beat 3, with his
parents Benjamin F, age 20 and Margaret age 20.
To all:
I've been digging in our local genealogy library and found the following
info on a Crawford Family Cemetary located in Mt Vernon, Lawrence Co.,
Missouri:
"The Crawford Cemetery is located int he southeast quarter of the northeast
quarter of Section 6, Township 27, Range 26. It is located a short distance
east of the main road on private property. It is fenced and covered with
brush. This survey was made 21 March 1965, by Fred G. Mieswinkel."

Dawn,
Where in New York are you trying to find records? My CRAWFORDs were in
New York in the 1840's and then in Massachusetts. Mine were in Canaan,
NY. Judy, in NC
Thanks for posting Wanda. There's some very helpful information there.

I found digital images of 6 pages of a family Bible online at the Library
