The story goes that they migrated to Ireland in the early 1700's. William
Crawford who is my direct descendent lived in County Fermanagh and he
married a Miss Booth possibly Ann who may also have been Scottish.
They had a family of five boys,

Crawford Researchers,
Recently a very nice person posted to Roots-L about a Bible that didn't have
any of this particular researcher's ancestors in it, but said nice person (Chris
Parker) wanted to make the information available to all and sundry -
especially people who may be researching this Crawford branch. So Chris
transcribed it and forwarded it to me to forward to everyone else.
Here it is and I hope it helps someone (and Chris hopes so, too.)

There is a two-volume book called The Brothers Crawford: Colonel
William, 1722-1782 and Valentine, Jr., 1724-1777 by Allen Scholl
(Hertiage Books, Inc.)
This book has information on William (came to America in 1670 with
brother George), Valentine, Jr. (1724-1777), and George Washington
Crawford (1750-1819).
I bought them in hopes I'd find information on my line. Unfortunately,
I did not.
