No problems Ashley will look tomorrow when I get to work. Could have done
it tonight but the kids have taken Word off their computer. Knew I should
have logged on from the other computer down stairs but doesnt matter it will
be quicker at work to look at the manifest.
As for him putting residence: USA I myself think perhaps they may have when
asked where from put where they were going (got themselves confused).
I have seen this on other lookups. We either married at the time or had
children with them w
Additional surnames in Zagreb, Croatia: LEPO , possibly shortened and
CIGOLIE, second marriage. Mid 1800s not much info but it is all I have.
I would also say that I have found the Petrisic/Blazicka Family in Tuhelj,
Croatia, and have exchanged photos, names and date. I thank all who have
been so helpful. I would suggest that anyone searching that area to get
some super tourist maps of the area they are seeking. There is much history
and smaller towns are listed.
Now to pursue the GETTO/REITER FAMILI

Mary,
Thanks. That seems a tremendous lot of work on your part and I value it.
I'll try to print it all out later today, just checking the mail in hopes now.
You are marvelously kind to do this. I tried the site several times during
the night and this night got constant error messages, no new information.
These two below are interesting. According to Grandpa's naturalization
papers, he arrived in 1907, from Mrkopalj, on the Saint Paul.

Thank you for the information. Finally got to the information on Kosta on
Ellis Island page. It takes forever on their site. I guess everyone is
searching and it bogs them down.
It states that Kosta is female when I finally got to the passenger
information. Just wanted to post since I was not sure if it was female or
male and you stated male.
Not sure how accurate the ship transcriptions are, or how accurate the
records are because it states Helena is single. If this is the Helena married
to Bronko

I am also interested in findding more about this lodge / organization as my
grandparents were members. it is my understanding that it sold insurance
policies, and that my grandfather bought small ones on all his grandchildren.
I too would like to know if information on its members is available
somewhere!

Before EIR went online, I could reply to email messages as they were

This is no longer true because of large volume.
Now my email messages arrive 30-40 at one time (rootsweb server

Frank, you have frequently posted info about the Book of Souls. Is this
kept at the church in question, or is it found at the government archives,
or deposited at the main "diocese" church for the region? (For example,
would Brdovec parish info be there or in Zagreb?)
What if the original church no longer exists? The church which would have
served my grandfather's family in Tribanj-Kruscica collapsed, only the nave
remains standing, and a new church was built several miles away. Should I

I found some rcds on the new Ellis Island site also. Can someone tell me what "J. Slovakia, Agram" means? They were from the Vivodina area of Slovakia, but I don't understand the "J. Slovakia", and then what the heck does "Agram" mean?
BTW, I have not been able to locate immigration entries at Ellis Island, but the rcds are proving to be a wonderful source for trips made back to the "old country"!

Hi listers,
I just happen to have the Fall 2000 newsletter from the 'CFU Lodge 351 ZORA
Detroit", and among other things it says "...you can call the CFU directly
at 412-351-3909. " That is not a Michigan area code so I assume it's the
national headquarters.
It also states there are 224 CFU lodges throughout the U.S, and only 2%
produce a newsletter, so I wouldn't expect many web sites.
Hope this helps,
Linda
List,
There are two ways to capture data from a screen such as the Ellis Island
lists.
One is to use MGI 8.0 photo editing program. This program has a neat feature
that I use continuously. It will capture, digitally, a screen or portion
thereof on another program or site. And the duplicate it produces on your
screen is the exact equal of the original. It is like having a camera you
can direct to something on your screen, and it uses a camera icon for this
feature.
Secondly, you can deal with
Hope this helps someone!
