Regarding the recent post about Simeon Marshall, and Dean's reply about
Simeon son of William, I do not recall any proof that Simeon is indeed
William's son, and therefore Solomon's grandson, but there is circumstantial
evidence and I do agree with folks like Dr. Reid (a desc. of William) that
Simeon was probably William's son and that is the way I have it for now.
The 1840 census record source for Simeon was from my file.
As for Greenbury being Simeon's son as currently shown in the master GEDCOM
file, th

Good morning,
I am seeking ANY information that anyone may have regarding my great
grandfather, Thomas Clark Crocker. All that I know about him was that his
last years were in the Wills Point, TX area and that he was scalded to death
with sorghum and buried in Terrell, TX around 1899. My grandfather, Ulysses
F Crocker was born in 1890 and about 9 at the time.
Thank you,
B. Cornel Crocker
Hi--just a feww thoughts to ponder. My gggrandfather was Drury Crocker from
the isle of Wight,Va.I just got the bright idea of looking on the map for the
location of the Isle of Wight,Va. and discovered the location close to
Norfork,Va.I just wonder if a group
of kinfolks decided to pull up stakes and head south.it looks to me that
thier route would have been through the Carolina,s and Ga.,where some decided
to settle in these locations and more, like Drury and Lucy and family moved
on farther south.i
Hi All:
Noticed interest in Crocker migrations thru GA, and thought this
might be worth promulgating since it's "off-census" info. This is
from a book titled "Index to Georgia's 1867-1868 Returns of Qualified
Voters and Registration Data Books (White)".

I received a package of papers copied by a person several years back
regarding addresses by James Francis Crocker -9th Virginia Infantry to the
Stonewall Camp-Confederate Veterans- Portsmouth, VA dated Feb. 6, 1889, Nov
7, 1894 & Feb 2.1904.
In one of the addresses, James states that his brother is Rev. William Andrew
Crocker & his half brother Julius O. Thomas - their ancestral home was "Four
Squares" in Isle of Wight. Most of the information in these papers are his
personal account of the Battle
Hi,
I am trying to find information on my gg-grandfather Curtis John
Crocker b. 12-9-1855 in VT and d. 1-9-1917 in OK. He was married to
Mina E. ? b. 6-1866 in NY and d. 2-1925 in OK. They had 2 children:
Grace b. 4-1890 in N.Y. and Alice b. 8-1896 in Aurora, Missouri. In the
1900 census for Missouri it lists both of his parents as being born in
VT also.
Does anyone have a copy of the Crocker Genealogy by James Russell
Crocker? At one of the Crocker sites there was an index for it. I
found the

I just returned from a busy 2-day trip to Isle of Wight and some of the
surrounding counties, as
