this list have any info on the deaths of theses English

It might help me shorten the list for the one I am looking for.

Isaac did have a son John!
Which makes my line from Arthur of Spartanburg:
Arthur > Solomon > William > Isaac > John C.
To be absolutely sure, the next step would be to
find hard evidence that Isaac's John and my John C.
are the same. But unless/until other hard evidence is found,
I can make a pretty good case for that link.
The breakthrough came (unexpectedly) from a tax record.
I will post some of the data from that in a separate message,
because I have some questions about other aspects of it.
Beginning today, all messages that are posted to the Crocker GenConnect
Boards will be Gatewayed (or forwarded) to the Crocker-L Mailing
List. This has just been setup. The address of the originator will be on
the message as well as the url of the board. You will be able to respond
to the board and or to the individual.
This idea was turned down by Rootsweb some time ago but now
operational. It could help us increase our membership and possibly help us
tear down some of our brick walls.
Happy ro
Does anyone have anything on this David?
Thanks.

To my Southern Crocker cousins:
I hope that y'all will use the attacks on our Southern Heritage as
motivation for renewing your interest in researching our Southern
Crocker
ancestors. I have checked to see how many of the Crockers in upstate SC
owned slaves just prior to the Civil War (1860 Census Slave Schedule).
There was only one woman and she owned one slave. By comparison, there
were about 25 Crocker soldiers that I know of from upstate SC. By rough
count, about 7 dead and 2 wounded.

Hello from a new member of this list! BYW, I am not the Dean Crocker
that maintains the list. Indeed, we don't seem to be related... yet
:-)
I am searching for more information concerning my great-grandfather,
John Crocker. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty new at
this and "advice to the stupid" is welcomed.
More genealogical information is available on my web site (see below
for address).
