I found this in my papers and thought it may relate to someone. Not my line.
LaRue Crocker 83, died Sept.3, 1994.
Husband:Maurice Crocker married in 1941. He died 1957.
2nd Husband Ray Crocker married in 1958. He died 1971.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Barbara Steen of Vashon Island,
Washington.
She was born in Ollie, Ia; Keokuk County.
I am guessing, but think the husbands were also from Keokuk County,
possibly Hedrick, IA.

Hey All!
I am thinking about starting a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly ICQ chat session
for the Crocker Cousin's mailing list. One of the RVing groups that I
belong to do it regularly and we have a lot of fun. Each session is based
around one subject and we try to stay with that throughout the entire
session although we do get off of tangents sometimes, i.e. jokes.
If any of you cousins would like to do that let me know and I will set it
up. Recommended first session: Get Aquatinted

Hello All!
Got back yesterday from a trip to LA for the company. God, I thought the
traffic in the SF Bay area was bad!
Very interesting Web site. Haven't used them yet but they might be very
helpful.

Perhaps CROCKETT (depends on who you believe). I have seen a couple
of books (don't have citations handy right now, but I can get it later
if someone doesn't beat me to it) that say Crockett and Crocker are
variants. May be if you go way back, but they seem to have been
distinct, separate surnames before immigration to the Colonies.
Crockett supposedly derives from Crocketagne (not

Greetings again from New Zealand
I am researching my Cocker family in Devonshire, Hampshire and London:
ENGLAND. Cocker is the most widely used, and was always used in N.Z.
With only 1 male descendant, who had only 1 unmarried daughter, the
surname has now terminated.
To date I have found my English side of the family under the following
surname variants.
COCKER - CROCKER - COKER
Can someone let me know what other surnames I should think of adding to
my list?
Cheers

This is an attempt to clarify/illustrate
which individuals should be selected to include
in the Crocker master GEDCOM. I have divided
the relatives into 4 groups (LEVEL 1 - 4).
If it is difficult to follow, I apologize; but
this is the best that I can do in a plain text
format. I could redo & post an a HTML or RTF
version on a web page if this is a problem.
I will use my line as an example to illustrate.

I just upgraded my Family Tree Maker to version 4.4 tonight. It dumped all
of my collateral relatives! Fortunately, being of a suspicious turn I had a
backup disk. Make sure you backup your files before installing this upgrade.

Hi - I'm looking for information on Mary Catherine Crocker. She would have
been born around 1847 in Isle of Wight, or Surry Co. Virginia. She married
Joseph Atkins b. 1847 Isle of Wight. The only other Crocker I have is a
Mary Crocker who married a Archer Atkins. Mary would have been born, maybe
1887.
Thanks for any help! Mary Sue

Genealogy is like a hole in the ground.
The more you dig up the bigger it gets.
I am still looking for origins of my Elizabeth Wakefield who
married Arthur Crocker--still not sure where--Georgia or the
Carolinas most likely--before 1800. Believe they passed quickly
through TN and on to St. Clair Co IL, then Fayette, and finally,
Shelby Co IL by 1830.
The earliest Illinois marriages that I have found for Crockers
are
Rachel Crocker and Elijah Bankson Nov. 28, 1809
Sinei Wakefield and Betsey Crocker June 5, 1808
Both marriages took place in St. Clair Co. Don't know

Hi Cousins,
Here is one page of CROCKER "Grooms" I copied from microfiche,
AN INDEX TO MARRIAGE BONDS FILED IN THE NC STATE ARCHIVES - 1741-1868
By Catherine A. Jackson Page 1824/M13 I placed a (/) between each
field to make it easier to read for you with different configurations
of your computer.
Also the RECORD#s have no (-) in them. I placed them there to make
them easier to read.
I will download more later if they are wanted.
