It's been a while since I've looked for your Granato/Volpe family, so took
another stab at it....
Found this longshot and right in my own backyard...state and age are off a
bit, but name and emig match up..

Could you look in 1850 for Henry SMITH in Watertown, or in Litchfield Co. His wife's name would be Emeline. They were married in March 1850. I would also be interested to know if he was living with a Smith family, or next door to a Smith family.
Thank you for any help you can give me.
Hello,
Found this...perhaps they are living with her parents? Could be a brother
next door...

My 1850 index isn't showing any results for the ROCHELL or LaROCHELLE
surname in CT.
I'm sorry,

Hello,
I was checking to clarify Roderick's wife name in the 1860 and found these
same Bryan families are still living next to each other in the 1860 although
under Bryant.
The Orill from the 1850 is written "Oriel" in the 1860.

For those aware of the old French Canadian custom of dit names, it is
believed that my Cassimer Rochelle's real surname may have been Gautron,
so his name may have been, Cassimer Gautron dit Rochelle.
I'm looking for a Cassimer or Casimir Rochelle or Larochelle in I
believe Bridgeport. If he and his family aren't in Bridgeport, perhaps
they are in New Haven Co. in Waterbury. With him should be his wife Anna
or Lena and 2-3 children.
