I have seen your message on the Morman Web site. I am looking for any information on a Will YORK and a Nellie A. MAINE (my great Aunt). I have nothing on Will and only an approximate birth date for Nellie (about 1867) in the Stonington/North Stonington, CT area. Nellie's parents were Edward Frank and Clarinda MAINE. Their children were Clarence, Millard, Flora, Halam, and Emery. Thanks.
Laurien---Don't know if you have the Barbour Stonington vital records. I
just looked for a Charles, son of Oliver and Anna, but I did not find him.
I found Oliver and Anna Avery married March 6, 1740 by Rev. Joseph Fish.
I, also, have, probably same father, Oliver, as a son of James, b. July 27,
1720.
Skimming the rest of the Barbours I found :
Oliver, son of Oliver and Anna b. Jan 22, 1740/1.
Joshua, son of Oliver and Anne, b. June 5, 1743.
Nanne, daughter of Oliver and Anne, b. July 15, 1745.
William, so
Not a problem Kim. Most people are sharply divided regarding roll calls; at
least that has been my experience as a list admin and member (of a lot of
listservs) for well over 6 years. I just wanted to head off any potential
problems before they get started.
I think that the other roll calls that you are seeng are coming from other
CT county lists.
Have a good day Kim and a Happy New Year!
Lane
