Dear listers,
Should any one have access to the Diario de la Marina dated September 1867 please let me know if there is an article or information about Banco San Carlos en Matanzas and its director. I have been told there is one and I would like to know its content.
Thank you,

Dear listers,
For the past 4 years I am trying to find any information on a Joaqumn Marill (origin and descendants) who signed a petition against slavery in November 1843 in Matanzas. Lately I believe to have found his second appellido: Pruna , Joaqumn Marill y Pruna.
Has any one any Marill or Pruna in her/his genealogy?
I have in my files a Joaquim (Catalan spelling for Joaqumn) Marill y Pruna born in December 1801 in Arenys de Mar, Catalunya, Spain who could well be the same person as the Joaqumn of M

Need information about the first ACOSTA settled in the town of San Felipe y
Santiago de BEJUCAL, in the province of Havana, Cuba. This first ACOSTA
was probably a member of one of the 30 families who founded on May 9, 1714
the villa with don Juan NuC1ez del Castillo.

Greetings,
I wonder if someone has information about those surnames from Havana in the first half of the xix century.
I see that Acosta was a little common, but what about the other two?
I found distant relatives with combinations of those three surnames.
Thanks,
Juan
Saludos,

You have to check Diario de la Marina, at the the NATIONAL Library, in
Washington, DC, maybe they have copies of this Cuban paper. I know Diario de la
Marina published every day lists of travelers to Key West, NY and Europe.
Good luck and blessings,
