I am researching the Pascual family of Santa Clara or Ranchuelo.
Agapita Pascual was brought as a slave to Cuba from Yoruba, Nigeria (no
year). Her daughter, Valentina Pascual, had 10 children. Seriano
Martinez was the father of approx half the children.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Listers,
I am pondering the viability of traveling to Cuba to research in person.
What I need to know is----
1) will the archive documents be available for me to look through?
2) can I make Xerox copies of them or would it be better to take digital
photos (will I be allowed to take digital photos)?
3) How much time should I allot for digging through non-indexed archive
records?
---and basically any advice you may have to offer me based on your own
personal experience of researching in Cuba.
