Well put. I too admire my irish ancestors for the life they had, and survived, I even feel for the convicts in our tree, but feel their lives were perhaps better from their transportation. Regards Kerry I have learned so much history while doing this and I am both impressed and proud that these Irish relatives made it through all the hundreds of bad years and lived to tell the tale - to me. I have seen where we lived for 300 years and about to see where "we" , the sept, lived for 2000 years.I find this

7. warning:Snow White virus [0.982351]
Recently I have received messages about Snow White. The message contains a virus. The virus is spread when the user of an infected computer replies to the user of a noninfected computer (if I understand it correctly). In order to protect your data and your computer, you should install (or run an existing) anti-virus program. You should also notify everyone with whom you correspond to do likewise. Sorry and now somewhat wiser, Sally Glynn

9. Re: THU [0.982351]
Dear Diane I understand that THU is in operation and will receive you request. I believe that The Archbishop's stance has nothing to do with money and all to do with trust and privacy. Bishops have been sued for comments on copy of birth records When the priest in 1800 wrote a comment in the comments column, this was for his benefit and those priests that had the duty to administer to the faithful. not the general public, and some not even believers. How would you like people to read of your gt gt grandfat
10. Re: church records [0.982351]
Lou, Thank you for your gracious response and for the texts and observations that you sent about Canon Law. But I think we are talking at cross-purposes. 1.) What I was talking about was not "waivers of right" FROM the Church under Canon Law, but "waivers of liability" IN FAVOR OF the Church from frivolous and pecunious lawsuits. The clergy in Ireland are citizens of that state or nation and, hence, can be protected equally under Civil Law. Just as institutions like the Church can be protected. If Irish g
11. Re: Irish Citizenship [0.982351]
----- I should probably add that there are interesting things that can come up. As an example, my grandfather was born and baptised as Edmund. In the states he used Edward. Why? I don't know! There is a one year discrepancy on his marriage licence in regards to his age - it says 35 he was 36 ...........Why? I don't know! Then the State wants to know why you want a copy of his death certificate. Why does the Irish Government need a copy? Oh, you sent a money order for $1 too much- we lowered the fee, please

Hi Joan Mary, Sean Ruad's IrlAtlas Townland Database shows no townlands in County Tipperary beginning with BALLEN or BALLAN. In addition, none end with VANY and none end with YANE. 24. Tipperary mailing lists [0.982351]
I have complained to Rootsweb about starting duplicate lists for Irish counties and they have told me that if you ask for a list, they will give it to you, even if there is another list on the same name or county. The best thing for all of us to do, in this case, is not join the other list. That way we keep our regular subbers. I also suggest you all complain like I did. You can send an email to: listmaster@rootsweb.com You might also want to complain to the listowner of the new list: admin@irl-tipp

His message i sin reply t Jane. i am researchin gmy Irish Roots, solely to know where they came from, it never entered my head about claiming land or anything, but.... you have a good point, some otherrs may have ulterior motives and go to the lengths you stated, that even happens here in Australia, especially when there ha s been a divorce, or step siblings, it can be very "messy" with family in - house fighting, it is very sad when ever I hear families talking about these things.
