Looking for info. about Woodman Stockley born about 1810 in Kent Co DE - married Sarah A. Unknown about 1840. Children of Woodman and Sarah ( Sally) are Samuel Carter, Jacob, Mary Jane, Henry, ANdrew M, Sarah and Woodman. O think in German records you are going to find that the en or in as asked is
the Latin feminine ending. Example in my family was the Latin church records
for the birth of their child. Husband was Johannes Guilliame Becker and wife
was Dorothae nata Diemerin. Her last name was Diemer.
The Slavic is that the endings for the names of a man or a woman are always
different. I am not sure if that still exists but when studying the Russian
