Debra,
Thank you so much for the url for the Chester County Archives. I immediately
went and looked up the naturalizations for my Connell and Burns family, and
sent off e-mail requests. I heard back this morning from the archives, and
will send off my payment for photocopies pdq. What a quick turn-around time,
and the person replying was very courteous to suggest putting all 5 request
payments in one envelope. The cost is five dollars a copy.

My guess would be that since John married Rebecca, and Ann didn't marry

these children, would she have needed to be named guardian?
Anyway, I have the marriage of John and Rebecca in 1790--but you already
had that.

The ladies at the Chester Co. Archives are indeed very helpful--and
quick. Just imagine how many requests they get, especially considering
that Delaware and Lancaster Counties in PA, as well as our New Castle
County, were once part of Chester Co.

Hi list(s),
I'm trying to reach those interested in the dedication of "The Soldier
& Sailor Walk Memorial," on May 24th, 2003 at St. Martin's Cemetery in
Marcus Hook. There are men buried here from Delaware Co., Chester Co.,
PA & New Castle Co., DE.
In the past, list members have contacted me giving me info on their
ancestors or relatives buried at St. Martin's but some of your e-mail
address have changed & I have not been able to reach you.

anxious to see if many of my family are in it. Please contact me again

I am researching the Barton Family in Mill Creek Hundred, New Castle,
Delaware.
John Barton died about 1808 and left the following minor children:
Molly, William, Samuel, Archibald, and John.
Ann Barton was made guardian of 3 of the children. Is she the mother and
widow?
In 1790 John Barton of Mill Creek 100, yeoman, married Rebecca Kenney
In 1810 Ann Barton married Amos Sanders
Is anyone else researching this family? Any information will be very much
appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Sheila
