There were numerous persons with the surname Perigine/Perrigine/Perijohn in
early New Castle County. What were their origins and who their descendants?
Anyone have a clue??

Hi,
While doing research on a family member, Joseph STRITTER (actor),
who is listed in the 1890 NYC Directory--I came across this very
interesting site on a "Missing Performers Database" at the website of
the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) founded in 1933.

What has become of the New Castle Cnty, DE USGenWeb page and all the
information that was provided there? The old queries? There seems to be an
entirely new site w/entirely new information and no utilization of
information previously provided.
Merry Christmas everyone!
I came across the following tid-bit in an old newspaper from 1838:
January 14, 1838; House of Representatives.
"Mr. MILLIGAN [Rep. from DE] presented a petition of inhabitants of the
State of Delaware, residing in the county of Newcastle, praying that an ice
harbor may be constructed at Delaware city, on the Delaware river, for the
protection of vessels navigating that river; which petition was referred to
the Committee on Commerce."

Good morning,
This is a European URL for the Port of Hamburg, Germany, at the
present time it is limited to the years 1890-1894 but is growing towards
the year 1914. When that is finished it will go back & cover the years
from 1850 to 1890. This site is fabulous! :)
If your ancestors did not come over from this Port or in the years
I mentioned or they were not German--don't discard this info, because I
found many Americans returning to the US from a visit or business in
Europe & immigrants
