Anyone home?
If so, does anyone know whether the Walk through the Y project has
uncovered
any new SNP's after L21?

Any comments on a possible match between a Cullen with ancestry from
Pomeroy, Tyrone and a Collins of USA ancestry?
The Cullen is ysearch YBEJ5 and both can be seen at the Cullen
project, where they are C-53 and C-37
http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/cullen/results
They share several unusual marker values like DYS390=26, DYS19=15,
also DYS464=15,15,16,17, DYS449=31 and high DYS460, and Collins and
Cullen were often interchangeable in the past. No one else I have
found in ysearch or the M222 project has
I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a question.
Patterson - Do you have any Delaware Pattersons? Most likely Abraham or
Abram. They were in Kentucky about 1840 after which they moved to Missouri.

Hi Betty
My Paterson relatives are in Scotland, South Africa, New Zealand and
England. I don't know of any who moved to North America.
However, your question interests me because I'm not aware of any
Patersons/Pattersons other than my own family who are M222+. I am YF6T9 in
Ysearch. Is there any DNA in Ysearch for your Delaware Pattersons?
Sandy

I just noticed that you had Pattersons. I have several Cousins at ftdna, but
my Pattersons sort of disappeared a while back My Carnes are M222, but I'm
not sure about my other ones. I believe they have gone further in dividing
M222 into something else. I'll have to look to see what the earliest time is
for Pattersons in the US that any researcher has found. I have some oral
history regarding them. They married my Dawsons and my husband's mother was
a Dawson.

Thank you John for the surname information,
I believe the MacCullen, MacCuilinn and similar surnames that you
mention belong to a large null DYS425 cluster within R1b, and are
found a little further to the south in Monaghan and Louth and maybe
Fermanagh. The current spellings seem to be McQuillan and sometimes
McCullen or Cullen.
These R-M222 Cullen/Collins people are found a little further to the
north, in the Oneilland baronies of north Armagh and in eastern
Tyrone. As far as I can tell, MacLysaght neve
