Hello,
Has anyone gotten their Doss Association magazine yet? It seems like Libbie
said someone was going to send it out imminently, about a month ago.
Thanks,
Lise

Hi All,
There has been some problems with the printer and Libbie is working them
out long distance from England. The printer says he is close to mailing
them out. I am to check this Wednesday again about problems etc.
Libbie says to extend her apologizes to everyone. She thought it was all
set as she left for her trip but the problems apparently came up shortly
after she left. Hopefully everything is on track and the newsletter will
be mailed shortly.
We will try to keep you up on what is happen
No, I have not received it yet. Janice Craft

The way I understood Libbie's message was the printer would send it out and
he was very busy at that time, but would send it as soon as possible.
Haven't received anything yet. Am looking forward to it though. Nancy

I just talked to the printer and he believes all of the problems have been
resolved. However, he says it will still take about 3 weeks to get it
mailed. He says after printing he has to bind the pages which takes some
time. The new version is around 100 pages with lots of pictures. I told
him we were all anxious, so he knows we want him to move as fast as possible.
We will just have to be patient like John suggested. I have to call back
next week for another update.

Hi,
**This message is being sent to the DOSS mailing list.**
The email address that RootsWeb has for the DOSS list admin
Libbie@blazenetme.net
is bouncing, so RootsWeb is looking to make contact with the list
admin. Will the list admin please contact Andrew Billinghurst
(billingh@rootsweb.com) so that we know that you are still
maintaining this list and please reply quoting this message.
List members there is nothing for you to worry about and nothing for
you to do, it is probably just an email pro
Carl,
I messed up big time when I deleted your message. I don't have an address
for you, but maybe Doss-L will let me answer you here.
It could be me that found the info on the Bolejack/Doss problem. I didn't
keep any of the paperwork that I found as it didn't fit with any of my
family. Thats not a problem though. I can go back thru Stokes Co. books and
see if I can find it again. Send me a list of names that work with B/D and I
will give it my best. The more last names that you can come up
I may be breaking the rules, since this is not a genealogical message, but am concerned about Joe and Pansy. Houston, do we have a problem? Seems you guys can't get away from the flooding. Hope you are surviving ok, with no more damage.
Nancy
10-4 Houston does have a problem, and thanks for thinking about us. We have
had 14 inches of rain in the last 6 days and no relief insite!. Our "little
house" is almost restored..just a few more nails and new blinds and it will
be in good shape. We have turned this house over to Hannah (our
granddaughter) as a play house with all the goodies a 2 year old needs. Her
computer, a child sized couch, lots of toys, and so it goes. The "big house"
where we live has been leaking since June 6th and I have
Lize,
Would like to have the URL where you have your Doss lineage published so it
can be added to the new Doss Family Association website, that is of course
if you would like to have it linked to the Association website.
If you wish you can add the link yourself at
http://www.homestead.com/dossfamilyasso, then go to the "HOT LINKS" page and
you can add your URL there, or if you wish email the URL to me and I will
add it for you, or you can email it to The_Rebel_1865@lycos.com.
Thanks,
John Doss

To all,
I received an email from David Doss on Monday. David indicated that he had
been contacted by Libbie, who told him that the printer was busy but was
expecting to mail the Connection shortly. David also indicated that he had
been asked to check on the status of the Connection on Wed., which of course
is today. Possibly David will have some good news sometime today.
I know all of you have been expecting the Connection for some time now, but
please be patient, I am certain it will arrive soon.
I'd like to know who all on the list is related
somehow to the Capt. Reddick Parker Doss of
Thomasville, GA. He was in the 9th Mississippi
Infantry during the Civil War. Thanks Also, does
anyone have other pictures available of him? Or
documents?

Hello Group,
I know we aren't supposed to send virus alerts, but I wanted to tell you that I've gotten this "SirCam" Virus over and over - probably 20 or more times, and two of them came from DOSS researchers. They probably got the virus and unbeknown to them, it is now reaching into their mailboxes, taking saved E-mail addresses and passing the virus on to unsuspecting genealogists.
I got one from Jason Doss and one from Berry Doss. This last one had the subject line, something similar to "hello group
