I am wondering if someone where able to assist me please.
There is a death notice for a COLIN LEIGHTON SANDERSON
in the Sydney Morning Herald Indexes, died Jan 1988, late Hurstville.
published 12th Jan 1988.
This man's son has been looking for Colin for nearly ten years, and
as we have just located the notice, I am wondering if anyone could
help us to locate a copy of the article, as we are nowhere near
anywhere where we can get a copy, I would be happy to pay for costs
associated in obtaining the same.
Would SKS please be able to check the WILL Indexes for NSW for me please.
I am looking for Thomas Hildebrand died 1891.
Thanking you in advance

Hi Ian
Whilst I can't come up with a precise definition for a Sea Notary, a
Notary is defined as follows:
"a person officially authorised to draw up or attest to contracts,
wills, deeds, or similar documents, to protest bills of exchange."
per:
http://www.gendocs.demon.co.uk/trades.html#N
But perhaps Websters dictionary for 1913 has the better definition and
even manages to have it a nautical flavour, which would fit your

Hi,
I've been trying to do an online Irish Genealogy course with Janet Reakes.
The 8 lessons come as Word documents with hyperlinks and URLs in them, but
no way can I access any of the links in these lessons, and I have wasted
hours and hours trying, and trying to figure out what the problem is.
Can someone with "technical" knowledge *please* help me?
I am not really stupid, but I've never used macros before and someone said
I had to have macros to do these lessons. I didn't have the need, don't

Hello List,
Is anyone able to tell me if records were kept of uncollected mail in the 1930's? I know that some of the Sands Directories are accessible, but would Postal Records be available for viewing? I'm looking for family who lived in Paddington, Woy Woy and Newcastle in the 1930's. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Brenda

I recently obtained a marriage certificate dated 1868 for one of my English
relatives. His father in law's occupation (after much deciphering of some
difficult handwriting) was "Sea Notary".
My relative was an H.M Customs Officer.
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what a "sea notary" does. My guess is
that it is probably someone involved in importing / exporting of goods?.
Regards, Ian Wright

Is there a Santa Claus?
1. No known species of reindeer can fly. BUT there are over
300,000
species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of
these
are insects and germs, this does not completely rule out flying reindeer
which only Santa has ever seen.
