To the enquiry about Newtown Hospital?? It could be the South Sydney Womens' Hospital, not far from where I grew up in Regent St. (l943-1950) or Chelmsford St. Newtown. My sisters were born there, and maybe thats where you may find your rellie. Also try the Newtown Family History Society, Brown St. Newtown for more info. Good hunting. 5. Problem with 1881 census viewer [1]
Hi all! Having just bought the 1881 census CDs, I tried to install the enclosed Viewer CD. WIN98 said it couldn't access the CD. I checked that the CD was properly in place in the drive, then tried again. When I went into Windows Explorer to check that setup.exe was in fact there, the computer hung. I've checked the CD drive with another CD. It's OK. Anyone else had similar problems? Input would be appreciated. Regards......Edna W.

17. RE: Free email accounts ?? [1]
Accessing e-mail from interstate or overseas. It is a good idea to access one's private e-mail address via Hotmail as was suggested by Phil but one can also pay many ISP's a small monthly redirect fee to have mail forwarded to an account with another ISP. People often do this when they change ISP's. Some ISP's such as Ozemail automatically also have read-only internet access to one's e-mail which means that one can read one's e-mail on the web at any time without making any special arrangements. If on

If someone was a railway porter in Sydney in the 1880's-1890's would there be records of employment still surviving and if so where would they be? Ancestors On Line - An Open Letter "**************************************************************** It is with some nostalgia and indeed sadness that we report that "Ancestors Online" is closing! Yes, according to Phil Young, from 1 September, Internet access for users will cease and BBS access will change to a single-line system. The plan is that on 1 Sep, access for users to the Internet will cease, but the BBS will continue in some format. As Phil says, "It's sad to see the old system die, for it was
23. RE: Free email accounts ?? [1]
Does anyone know how/if these can be set up to access email via a 'normal ' email address ??? Or can email be diverted via my ISP to margm@hotmail.com ???? There's no need to get email redirected to Hotmail. In fact, most big ISPs refuse to do it, for it means you no are longer dependant on that ISP for all your internet needs. The solution is that Hotmail can also access email at another POP account; you just need to know the full name of your POP account, and hope that your ISP will tell you that.

Brenda and others, >I subscribe to the Yorksgen, West Riding, Warwickshire and Derbyshire >mailing lists. I could copy and paste your message to these lists if you >approve. Feel free to spread the message far and wide, as you think fit. However, I think you need to question the relevance of publishing details of a Sydney death index before you contact various lists. As an example, ICELAND-L@rootsweb.com is probably not a list where subscribers have a great interest in modern Sydney deaths. English coun
