Hello Everyone,
I'm like a kid in a candy store! Being recently unemployed and having some time on my hands I just discovered Dunton.org and I'm flabbergasted to find so many Duntons in the world. I'm 53 years old and I've never in my life met another Dunton, outside my immediate family.
Here's my problem, if anyone has some information that can help:
I can trace my genealogy back to David Dunton, born in 1758 in Winchendon, Worcester Co, Massachusetts. For years and years that's where we've been stuc

Hi Anne,
I certainly appreciate you sending this query on to other Duntons! The short story---well, maybe not that short-- there is a researcher associated with the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum who is writing an article for possible publication ab
Hi Anne!!!
I finally got your email address again! I tried again last year when my
folks headed out on a once in a lifetime road trip. They did make it all
the way to Westport and drove a round a bit stopping in at the community
center there.
How have you and the family been? I imagine a lot has changed in the past
years.
We are all doing well. Our seed business has continued to grow and thrive
and now employs our eldest daughter Sara and our son. Everyone else, my
parents, the other kids, all help

Mike,
I got your email to Anne,
I've been signed up on your website for a few years, just trying to
connect my family tree to some of the other Dunton's out there. My
grandfather died in 1967 and I know nothing about his father's family as
he was born out of wedlock and never met the old man. Anyways, I was
just wondering if there was a way to try and link this up.
It would be great to hear from you and try and meet other Dunton's in
the world.
My grandfather's info is :

Hi to all my dear cousins, DUTTONs, DUNTONs & Zachariah DUTTONs (proved

The bad news is that I have been diagnosed with MDS, a rare but fatal
disorder of the bone marrow. There is no cure and no real treatment. In
the short time since the diagnoses the disease has already progressed to
full blown Leukemia. I start on chemo Monday but the outlook is not
good. SO BE IT!
Other than the obvious, my main problem is that I have no family member

Hello All,
The Dunton list has been extremely slow these days. Anyone still doing
genealogy?
This is just a quick note to let you know that we have added a new forum

The following was posted on GenConnect by Joan Humphreys Bixby
. It is an article from the Rutland Herald, published
in Rutland, Vermont. Note the appearance of George DUNTON among the list of
privates in the "Green Mountain Lancers," most likely a cavalry company. I
have separated Geo. DUNTON from the rest of the list of privates;
otherwise, I have not edited it.

Hi Maggie
I am descended from a Joseph Dunton born about1832, and baptised at St
Thomas, Dudley. His parents were Richard Dunton and Elizabeth Baxter who
lived in Coseley, Staffordshire. From the 1841 census Richard Dunton was
born 1808 (age given as 33 - the ages were not rounded up or down by the
enumerator.) and not born in Staffordshire, probably Dudley as he is also
baptised at St Thomas; he had died before the next census. His parents were
Richard Dunton and Margaret Smart who married at St Thomas in

Hello
I am researching the Chilton Family in Dudley and have traced the line back to Joseph Dunton, born around 1796. Joseph married Hannah Hamblett and they had the following children: Hannah (1817) who married Joseph Chilton, Prudence (1819), Phoebe (1824), Joseph (1823), William (1828) and Thomas (1831).
