3. Re: [DUTTON] Abraham Dutton, Del. Co., PA, ca 1760 [1]
I have checked in Gilbert Cope9s book, 3Genealogy of the Dutton Family of Pennsylvania2 and there is no one at all named Abraham in the Christian name index. Carole on 1/30/08 10:40 PM, justinfromaz@earthlink.net at justinfromaz@earthlink.net took quill in hand and penned: > With the help of a list member, I learned recently that my Dutton lineage > dates back to an Abraham Dutton (through his son Harris and grandson Milton), > born prior to the Revolutionary War in either Chester or Delaware County, >

Carole I just went in and tried two names and both of them aren't working neither. So they must be cleaning or just to many people on it tonight. But keep on trying it may work tomorrow. 5. Re: [DUTTON] David Kinsman Dutton [1]
Hi Carole, I find your discovery to be very interesting...... one of my (Massachusetts) Dutton ancestors came to Meigs County sometime in the 1800's. His name was Daniel Townsend Dutton. Wonder if there's some sort of connection after all? Thank you for all the hard work you do- it's fascinating. 7. [DUTTON] Abraham Dutton, Del. Co., PA, ca 1760 [1]
I descend from John Dutton who married Mary Darlington and came to America in 1682 with John, Edward, Thomas, and Elizabeth. He purchased 500 acres in Pennsylvania. The last child was Robert Dutton, born September 13, 1687 in Delaware County, PA. His only son was Robert Dutton, born August 26, 1713 in Cecil County, MD. Robert's sons by his second wife were John Dutton, Sr, born December 23, 1761 in Harford County, MD and Robert Dutton, born December 24, 1759 in Harford County, MD. John Dutton S
8. Re: [DUTTON] David Dutton m. Mary Lind 1741 [1]
I have him as the brother of Kingsman m Ruth Watson and Francis. There's 19 years between theirs birth so this may not be correct. I do have Hannah Rogers as the niece of Hannah Talbot who married Francis. Other than the marriage records, I think it's all from Copes so probably nothing new to you. Hello PA Duttons, Current Status: John and Mary (Darlington) Dutton had 4 sons. We have tested two lineages: Kingsman (John, John) and Thomas (John). The two lineages of Thomas + Lucy (Barnard) Dutton match each other and an English Dutton. The two lineages from Kingsman + Anne (Routh) do not match each other nor do they match the Thomas lineage. Untested sons of PA John are descendants of: 1. Edward and Gwin (Williams) Dutton 2. Robert and Ann (Brown) Dutton Untested sons of John and Eliz. (Kingsman)
10. [DUTTON] FW: David Kinsman Dutton [1]
Curt, I believe that this David Kinsman Dutton may be one or your family members. The license was issued in Wood Co which is across the Ohio River very near Hockingport, OH. Click on the words 3View record image2 and when you get there, scroll to the right to see the actual marriage license. I think that he is the son of Craig Samuel Dutton and Martha Waterman. The age of marriage matches when I compute from the DOB that you provided. http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_mcdetail.aspx?Id=10242993 I transcri
11. [DUTTON] Abraham Dutton, Del. Co., PA, ca 1760 [1]
With the help of a list member, I learned recently that my Dutton lineage dates back to an Abraham Dutton (through his son Harris and grandson Milton), born prior to the Revolutionary War in either Chester or Delaware County, Pennsylvania. I've not been able to locate anything about Abraham prior to an 1830 census record from Fairfield Co., Ohio. Does anyone have records or information tying him to PA? Any information regarding siblings or parents? Many thanks, Justin Sanders. justinfromaz@earthlink.ne

13. [DUTTON] David Dutton m. Mary Lind 1741 [1]
Hello PA Duttons, While we were trying to track down all the Kingsmans, I failed to notice that there was a David Dutton listed as being married at the Holy Trinity (Old Swedes) Church in Wilmington Delaware. This David Dutton does not fit into the data I have on the PA John family as far as I can tell. One possibility is that David Dutton, who married Janna McClaskey in 1750, was married first to Mary Lind in 1741 (who could have died, but I can find no info on her either). His estimated birthdate woul

To me, it looks like "a Babtist minister" which I take to be a misspelling of Baptist. _________________________________________________________________ Make distant family not so distant with Windows Vista. + Windows Live. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/digitallife/keepintouch.mspx?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_CPC_VideoChat_distantfamily_012008
15. Re: [DUTTON] David Dutton m. Mary Lind 1741 [1]
Hi Curt, I checked your pages and if I understand you correctly, you have sons of Kingsman I (b 1711)/Ann (Routh) Dutton as: Kingsman II b ca. 1737 Francis b. ca. 1745 David b. ca. 1756 This David cannot be the David who married Mary Lind on 4 May 1741 because he was born after the marriage date. This David married Hannah Rodgers on 1 Oct 1778. Unless I misunderstood you and you mean some other David. So, what I think is that this David/Mary Lind Dutton are not accounted for. 17. [DUTTON] Abraham & Kingsman Dutton, b. 1750, PA [1]
On Ancestry.com I located extracts from the American Genealogical-Biographical Index, Vol. 47, regarding an Abraham and Kingsman Dutton. Abraham's extract was found on p. 292. It states only that he was born in PA in the year 1750. Kingsman was found on p. 304, and is also listed as being born in PA in the year 1750. Does anyone know what family group these men belong to? Carole Malisiak posted journal entries from 1762-3, naming an Abraham Dutton who was the stepfather of Catharina Kahrer. Does anyon

I am related to John Dutton and Mary Darlington. John is the 21st generation from Hugh fitz Odard, and I think I have all of the principal names in England, mainly from Cheshire. I descend down from Robert and Ann Brown to Robert and (1) [Mary Merriken] to (2) Susannah Howard to John, Sr. and Elizabeth Hughston to John. Jr. and Sarah Parks to Mary Hosannah Dutton, who married Cornelius Lowry Willis. I then branch into the Willis family line. I also have some data on Mary Dutton, daughter of Robe

22. more on David Dutton 1784-1856 [1]
You were correct, Carole, that the David Dutton I found in Hopson's book is not the David Dutton who appears on the 1830 Delaware County, OH, census. I'm guessing he was the David Dutton who appears on the 1830 IL census in Pike County (230). He appears on the 1840 Hancock County, IL census (178). Ed posted his 1850 census listing recently. I have further info on his family from History of Jackson County, Iowa by Hon. James W. Ellis, S. J. Clarke Publishing Co., 1910. ... Russell Dutton, a Mr. Dut
