12. George W. Dyer, Mine Supt, CA [1]
There has been a painting, as I recall, on loan from the Bancroft Library in Berkeley, CA to the UC Berkeley Art Museum. Loan is probably over. The painting includes a mine view and a George W. Dyer, Supt, Golden Gate Mining Claim. My cryptic note, written when I saw it several years ago but mis laid it , does not say when it was painted. I guess ~1870 - 1880. Any George W. descendants might contact the Bancroft Library if they are interested for additional information. Joe **********************

19. Re: ?Who is researching Thomas Dyer, Immigrant [1]
Dear Joe Keller, I just got your email. I get hundreds and they are hard to answer at one sitting. My ggrandfather is Thomas C. Dyer who emigrated from Townland Crummy, Parish Kiltubbrid, County Leitrim, Ireland in 1866 to Chelsea, Mass (a part of Boston at that time and now a wealthy suburb of Boston) He was a stonemason and a carpenter. He later wed Sabina Cull and settled in Cambridge, MA. He had been educated at Louvain in Belgium along with his sister Anna. This was against the penal laws w

Ancestrycorner.com is a good site for forms and genealogy.com is great for "How-to's". I think both are as necessary as any research site. Genweb and Genforum are also good. Good luck. 22. Re: ?Who is researching Thomas Dyer, Immigrant [1]
Kathyrn, I really appreciate your response. I don't think there is a match. "My" Thomas was born abt 1784 in ME, but I have not found his parents; there is family lore, but no records. One of his daughters, Eunice, did marry a stone mason in the Boston area. Their marriage was about 1838. His name was Blackinton. Again, thanks for your response. Joe.
