I am looking for additional information on the Van Eps family. I have three lines of descent. I go Jan Dirkse Van Eps and Maratie Damen ( does anyone know if he ever actually go here or just his widow?). Then through Johannes and his wife Elisabeth Janse Douwe. Three times.. Jan Baptist, Elizabeth and Maria. I am interested especially in Elizabeth Janse Douwe. The age numbers just do not add up for her to be the daughter of Janse Douwe. Possibly a granddaughter. Well, I don't know any Atens, but I do have a Gr.GR.Grandfather who came from Holland, sometime before 1839. I would refer to him as that elusive William H. Horton. William wed Elizabeth(Float) from Ireland. They had atleast one child, George Henry Horton b.10/09/1839 Butler Co. OHIO? d.10/28/1927 George married Lavonia Lipus, from Alpine IND.
