1. Something to think about [1]
Something to think about 8.02 PM on February 20 this year will be an historic moment in time. As the clock ticks over from 8.01 PM on Wednesday, February 20, time will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002, 2002, 2002, or to be more precise - 20:02, 20/02, 2002. The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was at 10.01 AM on January 10, 1001. 10:01 10/01 1001 Because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will never happen again. He then came over to England when he was about 20 and joined the Queens Guard as a blacksmith. He then went on to become a scaffolder. He died at aged 72 in 1960. He never talked much about his life before he came to England so anything anyone can tell me about him would be wonderful --------

Over the past month we have had bounces from various subscribers. This is not their fault but the fault of their ISPs so please read this carefully, as it may happen to you. We have done all we can and so have Rootsweb so we suggest you lobby your ISP if you do not get Rootsweb mailings. Just curiosity, it has nothing to do with me, but I used to know a Wendy Earwaker, I don't know if this was her married or single name (she was not married anyway when I knew her). She was a judge of figure skating, a real estate agent, among other things.

Don't let loads of people write to me please, or I'll regret being so kind! Not worried about having that actual bible, but I do want one of that period... No connection witht the name, just looked it up thinking how much I'd like to know if someone found a bible with my family details in it. Saw your address on the Earwaker website - it said to contact you with any information. I'm not really fussed about researching the name, however - I have enough to do with my own family. Just thought it might be of

14. Nicola's Bible. [1]
Hello Listers, I thought I would just say how envious I am of Nicola's purchase of the bible in Winchester, a place where I do a lot of work and also a lot of family research. In spite of regular trips round the book shops the bible escaped me! The reason for my envy is not only the family's connection with the Earwaker name but because of the person Nicola listed as Charlotte "Whadley," the name in fact being Whale. Charlotte who was baptised at Fareham in 1835 married John Whale and survived him. She is b

Hi Nicola, I have been in contact with Maureen Luxton, Guild Of One Name Studies, (GOONS) member, for the EARWAKER surname. She has this family tree on her database. 16. Charles Earwicker 1789 [1]
Hello Michael and Listers, There was a Charles Earwicker baptised at Chalton, Hampshire 25011789. The parish register gives his parents as John and Mary. They had seven children baptised there between 1782 and 1791. It is possible that these parents were John Earwaker and Mary Holmes who married at Alverstoke in 1779, and when married the register states John's abode was Droxford and Mary's was Alverstoke. Miriam Amelia Earwicker married Charles Empson Witchel 12121847 at Alverstoke. Charles' father Henry

24. The Cerne Abbas family [1]
Hello Listers, The family mentioned by Jon Baker is that of Joseph Earwaker and Elizabeth Butler. who married 30081840 at Exton. In 1851 census they were at Exton and in 1881 were still in Dorset and shown as Earwater. Joseph was the illegitimate son of Elizabeth who in turn was a daughter of John Earwaker and Ann Norgate. I hope this assists anybody researching that line. Rod Whale, Andover.
