-----Original Message----- From: Susan Richards [mailto:susan.richards@sympatico.ca] Sent: 25 September 2001 18:54 To: Alan Earwaker Subject: Looking for the right path I wondered if there are any Earwaker researchers out there who might be able to help me with a research dilemma. Although my Earwaker research is on hold for the moment (pending the arrival of birth certificates), I do have another branch of my family that is an enigma. My g-g-uncle who was born in Southwark, London, inherited a rather nice
4. FW: BEETON and EARWAKER [1]
Hi Isobel, -----Original Message----- From: ISOBELLA2000@aol.com [mailto:ISOBELLA2000@aol.com] Sent: 31 August 2001 I have just discovered that an ancestor of mine Robert Francis BEETON, married an Eliza EARWAKER in 1837 at Westbourne Church, West Sussex. Eliza was born in Compton, West Sussex. Robert Francis BEETON was uncle to Samuel Orchart BEETON who married Isabella MAYSON and who then became - Isabella BEETON of the cook book fame. I am interested in this EARWAKER connection and wondered if you had c
5. www.earwaker.co.uk - Louise EARWAKER [1]
Maureen Luxton has a correction to make to my web page:- Query Page 2 - Query from Louise Colin EARWAKER is my cousin. Our family history only goes back as far as Charles EARWAKER - a blacksmith in Sydenham. His son Charles Frederick EARWAKER (also a blacksmith) married Jane SAMES(as on my web page)in 1853 at St. Bartholomew, Sydenham, Kent. (Jane "JAMES" says Maureen. She has the marriage and their children on her database. Charles moved around alot - Kent, Bucks, Hants. Has more information on her data
6. FW: Isabella BEETON [1]
Hi Isobel, Not come across this connection personally. I have posted your message to the EARWAKER list, so you may get a reply from someone else. I would also recommend that you write to Maureen LUXTON, the Guild Of One Name Studies (GOONS member) for the EARWAKER surname. Her address is:- 34 Marisfield Place, Selsey, West Sussex, PO20 0PD. (A donation towards postage and photocopying would be appreciated by her.) Her EARWICKER family connection is from West Sussex, so she may have your family on her datab
7. Re: discussion on height [1]
I've been following the discussion on height with some interest, as it featured significantly in my own ERRICKER researches. My father was 6ft 3 ins (190.5cms); I am 6ft 5 ins (196cms) and my younger brother 6ft 4ins (193cms). My mother is now less than her maximum 5ft 8ins (173cms). So, most of the height in our family seems to have come through my father's family. My father was born - in a small Surrey village in 1923 - out of wedlock to a Lucy PUTTOCK, who had come from another smaller Surrey village.

NO Rod, I have NOT heard of it. Please tell me more. Alan ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - -----in reply to ------ Turning to another subject, I was checking through one of my numerous EARWAKER files a couple of days ago and when I re-read an article about the EARWAKER prize I wondered if you know of it, because I think it would make an interesting feature on the website. If you would like the details, please let me know Cheers for now Rod Whale.. -----Origi
9. Ashley EARWAKER [1]
Name Ashley EARWAKER Hometown Speldhurst, Kent E-Mail Address ashley.earwaker@btinternet.com My father was Thomas EARWAKER, born around 1900 (died 1969), but I know nothing of his parents or other relatives, so I have no known EARWAKER relations. It would be really good to find some EARWAKER relatives, but, as I have absolutely no knowledge of my father's side of the family, I know it will be very difficult. Also, with my own, growing family of 4 children, I don't have time at the

13. Re: Looking for the right path [1]
Hi Susan, Have you tried the PRO on Line Catalogue site? www.pro.gov.co. Just enter the name you are looking for. Another good site is ARCHON, (Historical Manuscripts Commission, UK National Register of Archives) www.hmc.gov.uk/nra/searches This gives you all the places that records are held and if you looked under Shropshire you might find some documents placed in Archives. I have found info on several of my famillies this way. Hope this helps. Happy Hunting. Eileen. ----- Original Message ----- Fro
