1. Parker Marriage License [1]
Does anyone have a William G. Parker in Nacogdoches county around 1900? I have the original license of his marriage to Mrs. M. J. Gentry on 5 Dec. 1907. Thought it was one of mine, but is not. Will be happy to mail it to anyone who connects. Ray Faircloth Lufkin, TX rayfair@lcc.net
2. HURST family [1]
I have been searching for over 10 years for my elusive great-great grandfather, Peter Benjamin Clinton HURST, who was born in Texas on January 1834. His father's name is reported to be John Hurst, and his mother's first name was Harriet. Family story is that he had a couple of brothers and when the Civil War broke out he went and fought for the North, while his brothers fought for the South. After the civil war, he moved to Michigan where he lived the remainder of his life. I am stumped to say the lea
3. Sam Parker Death Certificate [1]
I requested and received a death certificate for Sam Parker from the state of Texas; I thought this could be my Sam Parker that I have little information about. Upon receiving the death certificate, I realize that this is not my Sam. This Sam was born on May 15, 1865 in Louisiana. His father was John Parker of Louisiana and his mother was Sarah of Louisiana. He died in Beaumont, Jefferson County, TX on October 23, 1918. The informant was a LeAnna Parker. If this rings a bell with anyone let me know and I wi

Many of these soldiers had fought in the Indian Wars in Florida and also the War with Mexican, and then the Civil War. It is without doubt that some of the descendants of these men are most l

19. Wyatt Family-Angelina Co.(Johnson,Hooper, Fitzgerald, Stringer, Higgenbotham) [1]
I would like to correspond with Wyatt family connections that settled in San Augustine Co. Texas in 1870. They were in Dallas County, Arkansas before coming to Texas, on the 1850 and 1860 census. They apparently left Georgia around 1845 on a wagon train which took Georgia pioneers from Bibb Co. Alabama to Arkansas. My g-g-g grandfather was Samuel Wyatt and received the land as bounty land for serving in the War of 1812, where he returned home "to Montiello, Georgia." I believe his wife was Sarah Ann Shu

21. RE: VIRUS ALERT ANNOUNCEMENT ON CHANNEL 56 OF TYLER [1]
The virus is actually in the attachment, not in the email itself. What it is, is a macro which uses your address book to send out 50 additional copies of itself to friends of yours. It is not linked to a specific date. It will send itself out whenever you 'catch' it. This can be quite problematic when people start getting hundreds of messages clogging their email boxes. Simple solution is to disable macros in your email & word-processing programs OR don't open any attachments in an email unless you are e
