Hi Glenna,
I am compiling a book on the descendants of Bartlett (William, Graves,
Graves II) and Charity Eaves and do have a Pinckney Eaves in my data base.
This Pinckney Eaves was born about 1847 in San Augustine County, Texas,
according to the 1860 San Augustine County census.
He was the son of William H. and Louvicey (Lout) Eaves.
William H. Eaves was the son of Burrell and Sarah Ann (Lewis) Eaves.
Louvicy Lout was the daughter of Pinckney and Elizabeth (Bodine) Lout.
Burrell Eaves was a son
Is anyone researching RICHARD LEE, possibly lived in NC (Round Hill?). A
Methodist minister. I do not know his dates, but he lived somewhere between
1870's to the 1900's.
I am interested in who his parents were and for any descendants, I have a
description of him written in 1928.
I know that his cousin was Jennie (Jane?) Baxter Eaves, whose mother was
Catherine LEE Baxter (dau. of James Lee/Mary Lewis Chisholm).

I am currently publishing a book TRANSLATED ABSTRACTS OF DEATH NOTICES IN THE PORTSMOUTH CORRESPONDENT, 1894-1908, and found these entries. They don't appear (at this point) to be in my direct line, but perhaps they will help someone else. Portsmouth (Scioto Co.), Ohio, was, at that time, a town with much activity and opportunity. It is not now what it once was, but many people lived or passed through this Ohio River county. --------Barbara

I'm trying to locate some of my EAVES family. They were
probably from AR and East Texas. I'll be happy to share

Does anyone know the death date of:
Mary Katherine Eaves, b. 1838 Rutherford County, NC, dau. of Spencer Jonathan
Eaves/Jane Baxter.
I had been told her death was ca. 1880. But I'm transcribing a newspaper
article written by her brother George, and he indicates she died not long
after her brother, Dr. Spencer Eaves, who died ca. 1863 of typhoid.
Any ideas?
Thanks for any help,

Dear Ed and Nadine: A Dent researcher sent this to me today; I wonder if it
is our James Nathaniel Dent (father of Alice Amanda Dent Harrison)?
I got your letter...will get back to you on it later. I'm a bit covered up
right now preparing for the June move to Columbia. We're having a garage
sale next week and I'm whipping through drawers and closets looking for
castaways.
Hope all is wel
