and it converts a written document to text. Some of you
couldn't open the original scanned documents so I'm posting the
article, in parts.. as I complete it, again. There may be some
typos that I've missed but for the most part, it worked out
well.
Here's part one:

Buck Seibert asked a question that I'll answer to several. From memory of
10-15 years ago. The French had the ST LAWRENCE,and the Great Lakes to
get into the interior, "and" they tended to marry Inians,so they had
better relations than the English. Memory [?] LaSalle was on the
Mississippi in Illinois in 1698. [1769 for DANIEL BOONE 1st to KY].
LaSalle's men mutunied. Martin Chartier moved among the SHAWNEE

MATILDA JANE NICKELL JONES
Jane Nickell was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on October 22, 1844, a
daughter of Joseph "Big Joe" and Matilda Lindel Nickell. No proof has been
found, but it has been passed down through the generations that Matilda
Lindel was a full blood Indian, and it is belie

Hi folks! Hermon mentioned the DAR and for a hour I wandered
then came on an idea. Thomas C. Brown mentions others that he
fought with or knew during the war. So I did a search of each
of them. This will only interest those who really really want
to find more about Thomas C. and Nathaniel Brown of Hampshire
Co.

Make sure everyone in your family gets a copy of this. And make sure it get
put into an archive of some kind on the internet. I love it. I hope more
people will do this as soon as they can "get it together." I wonder if the
southern route he came back on was route 66. That was the one we used going
out and coming back.
Thanks for your story. I really enjoyed it.
