1. [ELLER-L] Eller Inforation [1]
I am new to ksai@geocities.com and am interested in sharing Eller information. I have edited The Eller Chronicles for the Eller Family Association for twelve years, just now turning it over to new editors. I am putting the finishing touches on a new Eller book, the first since the 1957 book by James W. Hook. Will be glad to hear from anyone interested in Eller genealogy of any line and will gladly share any information that I may have. J. G. Eller, 214 Rocky Mountain Way, Arden, NC 28708 (704-681-868
2. [ELLER-L] RootsWeb in February -- 1,000,000+ Hits Per Day [1]
This is a message from Brian Leverich of rootsweb who is part of the team at rootsweb responsible for making all these surname lists possible. Please read this and if you are wanting to donate money to them, let me know and I will give you the address: >This note is going to tell you that RootsWeb set a new record level of service to the >genealogical community last month, but a more important message that I'd like to convey >first is just how important your support has been. > > RootsWeb wouldn't be here
3. Frederick EHLERS[ELLERS] [1]
I'm searching for info on Frederick EHLERS [ELLERS], b.c1790 probably in Bavaria, Alsace-Lorraine, wife Sophia ?___?, and d. after 1870 in Jackson, Hinds Co., Miss. It is said that he came with wife & children [4 sons] direct from Bavaria to Escatawpa, Jackson Co., Miss., about 1850 with about a dozen other families such as Colmer [Colmar]; Fields [Fealds]; Brentz [Breutz]; Meyers; Passo; [Passeau]; Lennep; Phronie; Brondum. This from a story re: "Mississippi's First Lutheran Church - Built in Escatawpa"
4. [ELLER-L] from the listowner....genealogy book scam [1]
Hello everyone. Normally I do not like advertising about scams and hoaxes on the list (such as those about viruses) since most are actually not true. This however, I know personally to be true and this company tends to get a lot of newbies in the genealogy world to buy their books at high prices with the buyer expecting a heck of a lot more than they get. The company is called Halbert's and operates out of Bath, OH. They advertise their books by sending you an announcement personally through regular mail

Eller, How nice to have you join the list; and how wonderful that you are working on an Eller Book. I have a copy of the reprint from 1990. I've corresponded with Wilma Austin who is descended from Will Eller, son of Simeon El

8. Word of the week.... [1]
Hello everyone. First of all, let me apologize for my lack of involvement in the lists in the past month. The mouse of my computer broke and since my computer being so old, there is only one that is still made that is compatible and they had to order it direct from IBM and basically, IBM was slow in delivery for one reason or another. But I'm back, finally, so lets get these lists moving again:) NOTE: Just want to remind everyone that even though we have the "word of the week" you can still post your l
