Friends on Eller-l@rootsweb.com...Can you help? WHO IS Pricilla Eller,
b 1821, d ?, Watagua County, NC?...Who are her parents?
Rose
This is amazing stuff! I have no record of a Pricilla Eller from
Watagua County, NC. This may mean that we are related to yet another
Eller branch. Now we have to find out who Pricilla's parents were.
Whoever they are they are my g.g.g.g.grandparents. This also
straightens out the issue in my line of Joseph Alec and Susie Evelyn
being like first or second cousins.
1. Calvin Eller was born 1830 in Ashe County, NC, and died Abt. 1929
in Fort Wayne, IN or Virginia. He married (1) Caroline Dickson November
21, 1848 in Jefferson, NC, daughter of Douglas Dickson and Johanna
Pennington. He married (2) S E ? Abt. 1867.
Notes for Calvin Eller:
Calvin Eller was a Confederate Captain during the Civil War. He served
with the 58th North Carolina Infantry...Company L
Notes for Caroline Dickson:
Caroline may have been the grand-daughter of Douglas Dickson and Johanna

list.

Hello everyone! I got an idea last night about a new program, similar
to word of the week, that I am calling "Story Time"! First off, this is
not gonna be weekly right now, more like a monthly thing. What this is,
is I will pick a topic and you respond to the list. This is not a
sharing of regular genealogy info like "Word of the week" is, however.
This month, the "Story Time" topic is "How I got started in genealogy."
So what I would like is for people to post how they got interested:). I

State and (Township if given), Date, Page number (if you have that
down), and then the census info itself (If you are giving info from an

22 years old. When my Dad died I found among his things a document on my
great-grandfather who fought in the Civil War. He fought with the Union,

When I started my research I found that he first fought with the
Confederacy for about a year (probably conscripted) then joined the
Union armies in 1864, traveling to Knoxville to do so. Since tha

to count them all by hand and math is my worst subject;) hehe) As far
as the donating for my birthday (Oct. 18th), that was a joke!:) but if

How I got started in Genealogy?
In 1993 my grandmother was diagnosed with bone cancer. This had an awesome
effect on me. I started thinking about all the important days of my life she
would miss. Being a 24-year-old single woman, my first thought was she
would miss my wedding day, the birth of my children and all those things
that follow.
Ironically, my search s
