3. [BAN] WEST & TOBIN [1]
Hi everyone, With the current spurt of activity I thought I'd add a new name for me. I have a Caroline WEST, (b.1846) daughter of George WEST from Adderbury, who married James TOBIN at Christchurch, Sth Banbury in 1871. When they got married she was 24 and he said he was 50, he was actually closer to 60! They had 3 children before they got married, and another 3 afterwards. The first 3 Mary Anne, Theresa and Ellen all changed their names to TOBIN. I have not yet done any research into the WEST name as it w

5. [BAN] Re: Rev Gollightly [1]
Whilst tracking them pesky GILBERT individuals I found Thomas GILBERT in the 1851 census, as being the son of Thomas GOLIGHTLY, rector of Boddington. Thomas Gilbert is listed with BA (Oxford) as his occupation. Since all other GILBERT members are the familiar Ag Labs can anyone tell me more about the Rev GOLIGHTLY? Much appreciate this list, very good ambience. Smokey Checked by Norton before transmission.

16. Re: [BAN] Hiorns - Rudd [1]
Rick, I'm not sure where she was born as my grandfather was born in Aston, Birmingham but went to school in Banbury. She lived at 4 School View, Banbury before she got married and we think she is buried in Banbury cemetary. I'm not sure if she was older or younger than my grandfather. Any help would be appreciated, this Rudd family is proving very difficult to trace! Vickie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rick Hirons" To: Sent: Wednesday, Jun

18. [BAN] Tadmarton and Steeple Barton [1]
Hi List Would SKS have access to Parish Registers for these two places. I am especially looking for BUCKINGHAM marriages. I have a James BUCKINGHAM married to Elisabeth before 1871 from Tadmarton. Also William BUCKINGHAM married Elizabeth THOMAS c1794 in Steeple Barton. Any references to BUCKINGHAMs in these two villages would be appreciated. Denise, Thanks so much for your replay. I don't think this is my Mary. Her gravestone is in Michigan and it implies she was born in 1774 by way of her date of death and her age at death. So I think that 1776 is too late, Darn! I know she was married in Barcheston and her 8 children were all christened in Banbury but I can't find her parents or her husband John Dew's parents. 20. [BAN] Post 1837 marriage entries in PRs [1]
I have found two BUTLER marriages on IGI which I think may be sisters of my 2x gr-grandmother, Caroline BUTLER; 1881 and 1901 census information seem to support this theory. Caroline's family lived in Aynho but I believe her first marriage occurred in London so it's possible she was in service. Bearing this in mind, it seems quite possible that her sisters could have done the same. The marriage of Lucy BUTLER to Alexander Grenton SHARP took place in 1848 at St James Westminister; the mar
21. [BAN] NEW TO LIST [1]
I have just joined this list. More recently I am looking for a marriage of WILLIAM GARDNER of Marston St Lawrence to Mary about 1803 THOMAS GARDNER of Marston St Lawrence to Elizabeth about 1774
22. [BAN] Looking for TAPLIN connections [1]
Greetings Fellow Listers, Having received so many replies to a speculative posting about my BUSBY connection, I thought I might test the water with one of my lesser-spotted surnames I have the TAPLIN surname in my tree with Ellen Fanny TAPLIN, who was born 24 Feb 1856, marrying John George PLESTER on 27 Mar 1875. Ellen Fanny was one of a long line of TAPLINs born in Bloxham, and I have a list of all of them between 1754 and 1863. But I would be happy to share with, or gather from, anyone else who h
