1. Louis London and Danebank Houses [1]
Dear Listers, Two queries on behalf of someone else: Does anyone know whent he Dane Bank housing estate was built? Does anyone know anything about the Louis London dispersal factory, or the company, making fuel tanks for bombers (Wellingtons I think) in WW2, or where it was 'in Northiwch'? Best Wishes, Penny, (joint admin.)
2. [ENG-CHS-NORTHWICH] Dane Bank Houses [1]
Penny- I thought you were talking about the estate that was built in the area that was developed after they pulled down the olfd Witton vicarage. This happened after I was confirmed (I remember walking up the unlighted long, scary driveway in the dark for confirmation classes), so I am estimating it was about 1956. Denise
3. Re: [ENG-CHS-NORTHWICH] [NORTHWICH] Louis London and Danebank Houses [1]
Hello Penny, Dane Bank Road was built in stages between 1926 and 1936, along with the rest of the area known as Witton Park (including Carlton Road and Westfield Road). The nearby area known as the "Danefields Estate" (Danefield Road, Binney Road, King George Avenue) dates from 1935-38, with some later additions in 1962-63 after the old Witton Vicarage had been demolished. 4. I.G.I. Batch Numbers [1]
Has anyone come across Batch no.I023360 on the I.G.I. family search site? Help pages at Rootsweb suggest they may be personal submissions, but there are nearly 800 baptismal entries and all look to names be local to Northwich(many Barnton) in the 1800's. Some I know to be baptisms taken from the baptismal registers of Christ Church, Barnton, as I have already got transcripts of the details. Individual entries don't have the common rider at the botton to say it is a private submission or anything to say th

6. Louis London and Danebank Road [1]
Dear Listers, I appear to have had what the americans call a 'senior moment'. Make that one query not two. Forget Danebank road (I already know the answer). Still would like to know about the engine factory though! Penny Does anyone know whent he Dane Bank housing estate was built? Does anyone know anything about the Louis London dispersal factory, or the company, making fuel tanks for bombers (Wellingtons I think) in WW2, or where it was 'in Northiwch'?
7. RE: [NORTHWICH] Mona Garrett & William Rees [1]
Dear Chris, I take it you've checked the 1891 & 1901 Census? If not, I can do a look-up for you?
