In our neck of the woods [the Keweenaw Peninsula in Upper Michigan], currant
[or raisin] cookies are called 'Cousin Jacks'. A tribute to the Cornish
contribution to the local cuisine.
The recipe is very similar, but we add a touch of lemon extract or peel.

Dear List,
At this moment in time I am working on a project involving local genealogy in the Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, areas.
What I am looking for is people with a connection to this area, who emigrated, or have genealogical connections to families that came from the South West of England, or both. I know that all of you on this list have connections to the area in some way or another.
I would like to interview you, by e-mail, for a perspective series of articles on your connections with The

I wouldn't use AOH*LL on a bet. Installed the latest version and it messed
everything up with all of the extra crud it puts into your computer.
Got rid of it real fast, but had to completely re-format to do so.

Happy New Year! Everyone,
Can anyone give me further information on this marriage?
1902 Sept. quarter PASCOE John Colman married SPARGO Emily Redruth Dist.
I met their daughter, Gertrude Mary WEAR, during a visit to Cornwall, in
1960s. My mother told me she was a cousin, but I'm still trying to find the
connection. I know I can buy the certificate but thought I'd ask first.
Thank you and best wishes, Heather

Hello all,
I am new to the list and I am researching the following names: Francis
Stephen Hutchens (Hutchins) who married Mary Eve Kingwell. In 1847 when their
daughter was born, they lived on Trelawarren Street. Their daughter was Alice Ann
Hutchens and she married Richard James Rundle in 1875 in Redruth. They had a
son, Richard Melanchton Rundle who was born in 1876 in Camborne. Richard James
died suddenly in 1876 when Richard Melanchton was a few months old. In the
UK Census for 1881, I fin

Well, this morning was the first morning that I didn't receive tons of
AOL bounces. Some of you still remain on the list because of the
strange way the bounces came, with a list of names, not individual, and
the Rootsweb computer only counted the top name. However, AOL subbers
did not receive RW mail for five days, not because of the Windows
interface but because of the AOL anti-spam program. I noticed this
morning, on the RW Help Desk that AOL has

AOL is still blocking RootsWeb mail. We have contacted AOL and are
working with them to resolve the problem. In the meantime, AOL users can
read list mail through the archives at: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/
My comments:
AOL users might want to call AOL and issue a complaint since this has
been going on since Monday without any resolution of the problem. While
the AOL users are not getting their mail, most haven't been dropped
due to the way AOL is boun
