For those of you like me, who have ancestors in NW Norfolk, I thought I would post what I have found re-places on the 1861 census cds being released by http://www.archivecdbooks.org/ The Norfolk cds include pieces RG 9/1190-1267 but not the pieces for the Norfolk villages below, which are in the registration district of Wisbech & will be included on the Cambridgeshire cds for 25 GB Pounds. I have a photograph of my g'parents' wedding party taken in 1910. The group are assembled in the cabbage patch. This photo has always been referred to as 'the traditional photo in the cabbage patch', however when asked about what tradition, collectively nobody knew. I know this practice continued up until at least the 50s. Can anyone throw any light onto this 'tradition'?
