2. Anthony HOCKLEY [1]
Hello all With all the recent messages about HOCKLEY recently I had a quick look in my records for any references to the name and found a Mary Ann HOCKLEY (b. 1880 Isleworth, Middlesex) who married Samuel George DYCKHOFF on 3 June 1900 in Isleworth (Samuel is one of my maternal G. Grandmother's brothers). Until now I had not paid too much attention to Mary Ann and it was only when I had a look for her and her family on the 1881 census that I discovered her father Anthony gives his birthplace as Kings
3. Roll Call [1]
As requested by Barbara, here are my Kingsclere (and area) names: ARUNDELL - All of those in the area and in nearby Hampshire and Berkshire parishes are probably all part of my family. My "most wanted" is to find the marriage of the Richard Arundell who was baptised 1741 Kingsclere so he probably married 1760s/70s. (There are several Richards in the area at the time) Also need marriages of a John Arundell and Mary about 1650/70 and marriage of John Arundell and Joan about 1690ish WIGMORE, WIDMORE I hav

Hi All, I have checked the fiche for All Saints Burghclere as well as Newtown (Burghclere) and could not find the burial for Patience PALMER in 1852. 7. ALDRIDGE [1]
Does anyone have an interest in this Kingsclere family who could help me with a small problem? I have been looking for the baptism of the John Aldridge who married Elizabeth Taylor in 1798. John died at Nutkins in March 1840 aged 70 years. This puts his birth around 1770 but I cannot see any baptism at St. Mary for him around this time. I have an earlier John, who married Mary Avelin (or Aveling) in Oct 1722. I have found five children so far for this couple but this only covers the period 1724-1737 so th

11. Re: Kingsclere Marriages [1]
Hello Dennis, After a consultation with my spouse Roger, we agree it is the 30th September 1821 sorry about that, glad you checked. The witness Ann could be PRICHARD or ORCHARD, there was a William ORCHARD age 62 years living in Kingsclere in 1851 there were no PRICHARD'S. Ann's name was signed by a cross, her mark. Some of the microfiche cannot be read as the writing is so faint, other the writing is not always legible, so please, if you do not agree with anything that I send in messages, please query i

Hello Dennis It looks like it could be Sarah Ann Prout married William Baughurst age 35 of Kingsclere Woodlands on 25 April 1885. Sarah was age 19 and gave father's name as George so this fits with her being a dau of George and Charlotte (Wythe). Witnesses were Henry Savery & Elizab

Hello Ann, Baptism of Richard son of Daniel and Elizabeth Arundell 3 June 1741 I have also found lots of other BATCHELOR baptisms. The microfiche for the 1600s is mostly for baptisms, I could not find the marriages that you wanted, partly due to the writing and the years that are not listed. I will keep looking. If you do go to the Hampshire Record Office in Winchester, have a look at the mustard coloured books where the baptism etc are already typed out and easy to read. When you get in the door face the
