Besides the usual payments to the poor, and others for bills, there's a bunch
of entries here for shoes (and 1 apron) to the poor. Also, we had a
discussion at my FHC today regarding the Midwife. Is it possible that a
midwife, in addition to her normal birthing duties, could have been involved
in burial preparations ("laying")? I know the Widow Male died around this
time. Could the mutton have been related to treating her while ill?

I have traced my grandfather's family, the Medlocks, back to 1821 in
Norfolk, but feel that they moved to Norfolk around this time.
I am looking for a Richard Medlock born about 1790, may have been ten years
either way. He married Martha Balders in Gt Massingham Norfolk, in 1821, but
I feel he may have moved from Huntingdon and been married before his
marriage to Martha..
I am also looking for the birth of Richard Medlock about 1810 (he was 41 on

I am researching my ancestors William SAWYER born c 1837 of Grafham, whose wife was named Susan. Susan born c 1839 came from Eaton Socon.
I am also researching James JOLLY born c 1834 from Buckworth.
I found both of these on the 1891 census for Farcet Huntingdonshire.
