1. Marriage Record for Wm. BOARDMAN Please [1]
Hi List, My gg-grandfather, William C. BOARDMAN, was born in Lancashire, England, in about 1802. He permanently left the county probably in 1826; however another source indicates later departure, in 1835. Presumably not long before departure, he married a bride of about the same age named Mary, whose maiden surname I do not know. Unfortunately, I also have no information on the part of Lancashire from which this couple came. I would greatly appreciate it if persons with access to Lancas
2. BMD survey - would you like to see certificates on-line. [1]
Forwarded message:- Dear all, UKBMD has been asked to seek the opinions of its users. There's a survey linked from the home page which I hope you will take the time to answer. If you could see birth, marriage and deaths certificates on-line, would you prefer to see the original register entries held by the local register offices, or the secondary copy held by the GRO? Don't answer here -- please fill in the survey. Please cross-post this to any other list that you believe to be relevant. --

6. RE: [ENG-MOSS-SADD] Marriage Record for Wm. BOARDMAN Please [1]
Hi Bob, Unfortunately William BOARDMAN is a common name in Lancashire. I have looked on the IGI and there are several marriages to a Mary within the suggested time period. Although the IGI is the best source for marriages in the time period you are looking at it is by no means complete. There is no complete marriage index for Lancashire. So unfortunately, without further information is it impossible trying to identify which one may be yours. Best wishes, Sharon in Perth, Western Australia > -----Original
