1. [ENG-MOSS-SADD] SYKES in Mossley [1]
Hi : I have a couple of requests. In 1866 Allen and Hannah (Ann) Sykes were living at Stamford Road Mossley with their offspring Eliza Ann and Joe. If the 1861 census for Mossley is indexed, could someone please check if they were in Mossley? In 1851 Allen - born 1839, was with his widowed mother Martha in Liverpool, but they originated from Honley. Martha may have moved to Mossley too. I have been looking for the gapin the history of this family for years and kust discovered their sojourn in Liverpool

4. [ENG-MOSS-SADD] DUNVILLE [1]
Many thanks to Alison for finding the Funeral details of Ann and Fred Buckley who died 1951/1952 respectively at Greenfield, Saddleworth. Amongst the mourners (at both funerals) was a Mrs.. M. DUNVILLE (probably Marion). Does any reader have any information that may assist me in identifying this lady? There is some suggestion that she may have emigrated to Canada. Hello Listers, I am seeking details on a John Butterworth, born 1805 at Littleborough, Ogden; he married Jane Whitehead in 1828, St Chad's Rochdale; they had 11 children. I would really like to know the parents of this John B. It is possible these parents may have been a James B. and Sarah X, but this is just a guess at this stage. I am hoping SKS can help this wild colonial boy find his roots. Peter Cox, Victoria, Australia.
