Thanks Harry, so she was not born in Axbridge! One brick down, thanks to you... I think the other two ladies must be related. Dressmaking seems to have run in the family for a few generations. So now another mystery to solve.
Thanks Phyllis

Hello out there,
I am looking for information on the death of Harriet FOX (nee SYMES (I think)), wife to William FOX of Compton Pauncefoot. She was buried 15 Jan 1847 at the Parish of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Compton Pauncefoot (thanks to David Cheek), and am wondering if anyone has tombstone inscriptions, death records, etc.

Hello, Guy,
Have you manged to buy fiche from them recently? Last year, at least, they
were refusing orders despite what the website said. If they are really back
in business, it's time for me to get my cheque book out. I am just worried
that if Patricia has not heard back, it may indicate "position unchanged".

Dear List,
Can anyone help me in tracing the family of a Charles HOLCOMBE. I think he
may have been the father of my great-great-grandmother Regina OLLIS
(1878-1954) who was the illegitimate daughter of Susan Wilmot OLLIS (b.
1857 - Oldland, Gloucestershire). In the 1881 and 1901 census', Charles and
Susan HOLCOMBE appear as husband and wife but I have never found a marriage
for them. I also think that Charles married a Margaret Ann Brookman in 1902
yet I have not found Susan's death so it may be that they
