On the 31st day of October 1783 a meeing of the inhabitants of the hundred of Samford at the Swan at Washbrook formed an Association and Subscription, for the apprehending and prosecuting of offenders.
the subscription was Half a Guinea (52 1/2 new pence).
Which parish did I find the paperwoprk under at the Record Office.
No prozes but lets see who can get it right
I'll provide the answer tomorrow
Ken
.
So no takers it was iin Holton St Mary.
No logic at all
It bad enough our ancesters trying to confuse by revering names , using
second names , reusing names, varing ages, remarying to a wife with the same
name as their first wife nowe we have the record office joining in.
it was in a file with papers on the issue of gun licences now thats a
resource you don't see mentioned "unfortunately they don't name the dog"
