Just started to trace the Worcester side of a family that moved to Nottingham from Berrows Journal as a Compositor to Nottingham Guardian newspaper.Namely Henry Doughty around 1860-1880.Also involved is great grandfather George Doughty purported to be Chief Constable c.1840-1860.This needs confirmation.Remainder of family must still be at Worcester. Need a start. Any help or clues welcome.GD.

If you are researching these names in the Birmingham, Sparkbrook, Aston Smethwick or Kings Norton areas we could be cousins !!!!

Hi listers, I am trying to find some more information on Thomas BABBS born 1804 maybe in Wales. The family record I have says he ran an Inn in England. Most of his children were born in Oldbury around the late 1820's , early 1830's, and he died in Oldbury, Worcester in1881. Is there a web site that might have information about property ownership . I am assuming that he owned the Inn . Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much.
Best Wishes, Sheila Thompson, Mary
